The Salvation Army is an international Christian church worshiping and working in 132 countries and has more than 800 local churches in the UK and Ireland. Our meetings(services) are attended by a cross-section of society, both in age and socio-economic groups. The style of worship has a certain degree of structure, but largely encourages freedom of expression, and regular participation by the con

gregation individually - by praying, giving personal testimony, reading from the Bible or presenting a musical contribution - and corporately by singing hymns or the united reading from the Bible. Our meetings generally have contributions from our senior band, songster brigade (choir), junior band, and singing company (junior choir). Children are welcome and there is always a "Kids Spot" in our meetings, and following the morning meeting there are lively Christian learning and fun activities for Under 7's, 7 to 11's, and young teens. We are rebuilding our mid- week activities following Covid restrictions, with activities to suit everyone. Follow this page to follow these developments. Currently, in the absence of officer leadership, Lurgan Corps is managed by a leadership and pastoral care team. Our meeting takes place every Sunday at 10.45am. There is a car park and street parking avaliable,

More than a century ago, the “Donut Lassies” entered the WWI huts with hands full of flour, sugar, and the honest intention to lift the spirits of the soldiers who were far from home. Against all odds, that small act of kindness made a lasting difference.

On June 7, 1938, The Salvation Army first celebrated National Doughnut Day as a fundraiser during the Great Depression to support families facing hardship. A wonderful act that mirrored and honored the legacy of those courageous women.

Today, at The Salvation Army San Antonio, we carry this purpose forward each day, meeting local needs with love and compassion through our food assistance and sack lunches.

A simple recipe in action.
A lasting impact.

Because from the very beginning, the first ingredient was love.
