This beautiful monstrance was blessed by Pope Leo to encourage prayer for vocations in Ireland. Tonight it will be in Saint Patrick’s, Derrymacash, holding the treasure of the Body of Christ before us. Come and join in prayer and Adoration, beginning at 7:30, concluding with benediction at 8:15pm

🌟In February, this year the Irish Bishops launched a vocations monstrance, blessed by last November. The monstrance serves to highlight the importance of prayer, particularly Eucharistic Adoration, in encouraging vocations to priesthood and religious life. The Vocations Monstrance will be used for procession in next Sunday, 7th June 2026.

The procession will begin at St. Mary’s Church, Chapel Street at
3.00pm and continue along Boat Street, Wiliam Street, Hill
Street, ending at the Cathedral for Benediction and blessing.

We extend a special invitation to al the P4 and P7
children and their parents to attend the procession. We would
request that those children who received the Sacrament of Holy
Communion and Confirmation come along to the procession
wearing their Holy Communion or Confirmation outfits.

If anyone finds walking from St. Mary’s Church to the
Cathedral is too much, you are welcome to come to the
Cathedral and wait for the procession.
