Churchyard Maintenance Update 01/09/2026. The grass is greener, and the places we strimmed and cleared earlier in August are coming back into short grass really quickly! Our new strimmer has coughed already (must be under warranty!), but thankfully McCulloch the big yellow mower has stepped in and managed to strim and mow the south west corner. Sandra's back on the Crem Plot too and once finished will strim around the remaining graves in that corner. Once we have more consistent rain we'll sow donated wildflower seed in the SW corner too.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Songs of Praise this afternoon.Thank you to all who contributed to afternoon tea.
We sang with gusto our praises to God, and enjoyed each others company over tea and cake!

It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard..... Sitting at my window I've just noticed that that precious rain, that is raining on the head of this oak, is now running down it's trunk, down towards it's roots.

Good morning from Crowhurst Christian Healing Centre in Sussex. Sandra and I are here for just one night and day of prayer and care. We've woke up to refreshing heavy rain, which looks, sounds and smells wonderful - What a creator God we have. Just wanted to share their welcoming card which has Psalm 133 in full - the one from a couple of weeks ago with the beard. And one little thought.... although the road is now looking straight and the end can be seen, it's still uneven, rough, rutted, some seen and some hidden, and will still hurt to continue on. The Coffee Morning this morning went well, with not just 6 nest boxes built (4 for the churchyard) and bug boxes filled, but a new recruit to the Churchyard Team too! Full H and S operation instruction given on riding and dismounting the mower. (Blades were not operated in this demo). Thank you so much to Carlton Colville Men's Shed (https://www.facebook.com/CarltonColvillemensshed) for your visits and work. They are coming back to us at our October Coffee Morning with more bug boxes, (we ran out today), and even a hedgehog house.

Just a reminder that all are invited to join us for at our Monthly coffee morning where as well as coffee and cake we will be joined my the mens shed and you will have the opportunity to buy and build your own bird box or a Bug hut.

Then on Sunday at 3pm we are going to be working our vocal chords as we meet together for a service of Songs of Praise. All are welcome.

What a great Joy and Privilege to welcome Tate to St Peter's on Sunday afternoon for his Baptism. Please pray for him and his parents and God parents as they love and support him in his journey of faith.

O Lord our God,
from whom we come,
In whom we are enfolded
