✨🪔 Celebrating 50 Golden Years of Geeta Bhawan Loughborough 🪔✨
On behalf of Geeta Bhawan Loughborough, we would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to every member, devotee, supporter and well-wishers, both near and far, who joined us and contributed to our Golden Anniversary celebrations on 26th July 2026
This remarkable occasion marked much more than 50 years of a building. It celebrated five decades of faith, devotion, friendship, community spirit and cherished memories
It was truly heartwarming to see everyone come together for such a special milestone. Long-standing members reunited, new members were warmly welcomed, and different generations shared stories and memories of where our Mandir began, the journey it has taken and how far our community has come
From its early beginnings to the flourishing place of worship and togetherness that we know today, Geeta Bhawan has been shaped by the dedication, generosity and selfless service of so many people. We remember with gratitude the founding members and all those who had the vision to establish the Mandir. We also honour every generation that has continued their work and helped Geeta Bhawan grow over the past 50 years
Our sincere appreciation goes to everyone who gave their time, energy and support to make the Golden Anniversary celebrations possible. Whether you helped with the planning and preparations, welcomed guests, participated in the programme, supported behind the scenes or simply joined us in celebrating, your contribution formed an important part of this unforgettable occasion
A very special thank you to Pandit Nilesh Shukla Ji of Loughborough for conducting the beautiful puja and blessing this important milestone. His prayers and guidance brought great meaning and spirituality to the celebrations
We were also deeply honoured to welcome the Mayor of Charnwood, Councillor Colin Hamilton. We extend our sincere thanks to him for joining our community and officially unveiling the commemorative 50th Anniversary plaque; a lasting tribute to Geeta Bhawan’s history, achievements and place within the Loughborough community
Special thanks must also go to Ankit Passi of Photo Moments - Photo Booth Hire for capturing the wonderful highlights of the day. Through his photographs, the happiness, devotion, laughter and togetherness of this milestone celebration have been beautifully preserved for us to treasure for many years to come 📸
To everyone who travelled from near and far to celebrate with us, thank you. Your presence made the occasion even more meaningful and demonstrated the lasting connection that so many people continue to share with Geeta Bhawan, wherever life may have taken them
This Golden Anniversary belongs to every person who has walked through the doors of Geeta Bhawan over the past five decades; those who have worshipped here, volunteered their time, shared their knowledge, celebrated special occasions, supported the Mandir and helped create the welcoming community we are so proud of today
As we reflect upon the past 50 years with immense pride and gratitude, we also look forward to the future with hope and excitement. May Geeta Bhawan continue to be a place of worship, spiritual growth, friendship, unity and service for generations to come
