It's the final day of our Week of Prayer. Today our theme is 'Why: Jesus is building is His Church' and we're reading through Matthew 16:13–19, with a focus on “I will build my Church and the gates of death will not overcome it.”

Please read the passage, and pray through the following:
1. Give thanks that nothing is going to prevent Jesus from Building his Church.
2. Be thankful we get to be part of something that will not fail. Pray that we would be encouraged even in the small things, because sometimes we don’t see big things happening, and that can be discouraging to our human hearts.
3. Pray for perseverance. Church planting is like a rollercoaster ride: there are many ups and downs. Pray that we will have fruit that will remain.
4. Thank Jesus for the confidence we have in His promises, because he is the Messiah, the Son of the living God.

It's Day 3 of our Week of Prayer. Today our theme is 'Where: A Global Movement' and we're reading through Acts 16.6-15, with a focus on “…we got ready at once… God had called us to preach the gospel to them.”

Please read the passage, and pray through the following:
1. Give thanks for the gospel to be given to all peoples, races, and nations.
2. Pray for a location the Holy Spirit has uniquely prepared. Ask God to guide your steps, similar to how He directed the Apostle Paul to specific regions.
3. Pray that the local community’s hearts are open to the Gospel. Bind spiritual apathy and ask God to grant the neighbourhood a deep desire for spiritual truth.
4. Ask for wisdom to understand the specific needs, culture, and demographics of the area. Ask Jesus to give the church a love for all peoples.

It's Day 2 of our Week of Prayer. Today our theme is 'Who: Church Planters' and we're reading through Isaiah 6:1-8, with a focus on “And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!”

Please read the passage, and pray through the following:
1. Thank God for his obedient people who have been called to plant before us.
2. Ask God to speak clearly to us, as to what He is calling us each to do, and for us to hear His voice.
3. That we would each be refreshed and renewed in our mission to make disciples of Jesus.
4. For the purity, godliness, and love of God for the next team of church planters.

It's Day 1 of our Week of Prayer. Today our theme is 'What: The need for Church Planting' and we're reading through Ephesians 3:14-21, with a focus on “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think...”

Please read the passage, and pray through the following:
1. Give thanks that we can play a role in church planting for Christ.
2. Pray for wisdom of our church leaders to be creative, but not compromise on the biblical vision of the church
3. Thinking about the stories we’ve heard from the visits to Tanzania, pray we see the same spirit of growth in church planting in the western world as we do in the majority world.
4. Thank Jesus for commissioning us to share the Gospel, and that everything we do is in His power and name.

Huge thanks to Dr Alan and Pauline Wilson who spent the weekend here with us, looking at the life of Moses and healthy leadership. The sessions were so rich, and we have been greatly blessed by their time with us.

On Sunday 10th May we are gathering with The Good Shepherd and St Barnabas Grange Park at Emmanuel Church for a joint service at 10am. Everyone is welcome as we hear from Dr Alan Wilson who will be preaching.
