The church looked beautiful this morning thanks to the hard work of our village volunteers, who gave up time to clean, polish, hoover and sweep to make sure we were looking our best for Easter Sunday! ☀️

A special thank you also to Gill, Izzy and Norma who made the beautiful flower displays and the Easter garden. They look amazing! 🌼

The church is open everyday during daylight hours. Why not pop in for a bit of flowery Easter cheer or for a moment of peace this week?

Alleluia, alleluia! He is Risen!

We gathered this evening at St Peter and St Paul, Longhoughton to celebrate the Risen Christ.
We lit and shared the Easter Fire as a reminder of the life that Christ offers his people, and renewed our commitment through water to follow him when we renewed our baptismal vows.

Today we gathered for a contemplative, if slightly soggy, walk of witness from Rock Farm to Rennington All Saints via Rock Church/Community .

On the way, we reflected on the sufferings of Christ and his love for a suffering world, and prayed for all in need, whether known or unknown to us.

Thank you to all who walked, made preparations in Rock and Rennington, and to the Rocking Horse Café for allowing to leave several cars at the farm.

Our Easter pilgrimage continues tomorrow night at St Peter and St Paul, Longhoughton when we gather for a vigil by the tomb!

With Lent starting tomorrow, here's a reminder about our upcoming Lent group, where we'll be reading 'The Rest is Worship' by Sara and Sam Hargreaves.

The Rest Is Worship explores how we can rest to the glory of God, and how our times of worship can be places where we are restored and renewed by him. It is written for anyone who wants to delve into how "being still" can help us to "know God", and how we can reject the rush and hurry of our contemporary world (and our contemporary church).

A recent review of the material:
