A large group of Bangladeshi Chakma Buddhists gathered at ELBCC on 9th May to host a Dana ceremony in loving memory of Robbie Jhilik Chakma, a 16-year-old boy from Grays who passed away suddenly. The ceremony was hosted by his family — his father, Mr. Kaladong Chakma, and his mother, Mrs Kaberi Chakma. Jhilik's younger brother is a current student at our Dhamma School.
May Jhilik Chakma Attain the Supreme Bliss of Nibbana!

To mark the occasion of Buddha Day (Vesak Day), the ELBCC hosted a series of whole-day programs on 2nd May, which included;
1. Sila program for adults and Dhamma school children
2. Offering of lunch to the gathering
3. Performance of Buddhist songs by ELBCC Dhamma School children
4. A special Buddha puja, and
5. A Dansala in the evening (free food for all the gathering)
