The Muslim Council of Britain is deeply saddened by the murder of Henry Nowak, an eighteen-year-old whose life was cruelly taken by a murderer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

The tragedy was compounded by Henry being assumed to be the perpetrator rather than the victim, ostensibly because of his skin colour. He spent his last moments being arrested for a crime he was the victim of. This is what has upset so many. The assumptions we make about people can cost lives.

πŸŒ™βœ¨ Eid al-Adha at Cann Hall Masjid – A Day of Unity, Joy & Gratitude βœ¨πŸŒ™

Alhamdulillāh, thousands from our local community gathered at Cann Hall Masjid to celebrate Eid al-Adha together.

We were blessed to hold two Eid khutbahs, led by Abdurrahman Anwar and Mujahid Ali , reminding us of the spirit of sacrifice, gratitude and unity on this blessed day.

It was beautiful to see families, neighbours and friends coming together β€” smiling, reconnecting and celebrating as one community.

🍬 1000+ laddoos were distributed
🎁 500+ sweet bags were given to our musallīn and children.

A huge JazakAllahu Khayran to all our volunteers and supporters who helped make the day special for everyone.

And as today is Jumu’ah, a gentle reminder that your Friday charity carries immense blessings. Your support helps Cann Hall continue serving the community through prayers, education, youth activities and future events.
