Holy Trinity with St John's, Penge

Today, Holy Trinity with St John’s is five years old! We are celebrating our birthday in style with five days of prayer, a fifth birthday party and a celebration Holy Communion service this Sunday with Bishop Jonathan. Today, as we give thanks for God’s blessings and seek his presence and purposes for the next five years, we are praying continuously (in shifts!) for 24 hours. We’ve been going since midnight and will be praying until midnight tonight.
You are welcome to join us at our Holy Trinity site, 7-9pm for interactive prayer stations, or for morning, midday and evening prayer throughout the week.

Today at Holiday at Home, we were creative with weaving, and stretched our intellectual muscles working out angles to finish our clocks. And Giant Team Scrabble went up a level with an as yet unbeaten opening score of 102!

Today at Holiday at Home, physical challenge in the form of Boccia and the creative challenge of watercolour painting. What a lot of gifted artists we have!

Today at Holiday at Home, our Holiday Club for the over-50s, we have enjoyed the physical challenge of Co****le, the intellectual challenge of Giant Team Scrabble, and the creative challenge of clock and slipper making.
There are still spaces available, tomorrow at our St John’s site or Wednesday and Thursday at our Holy Trinity site. Come along from 10am (£5 per day towards food and materials) and join the fun!

Little Fish is on its summer holiday, but the team have been busy: washing, sorting, cleaning and mending. Have a wonderful break and we look forward to welcoming you back in September with refreshed, renewed, repaired and restored toys (not to mention team!)

Congratulations to Marggie (front row, right) who received her Bishop's Certificate at a joyful service of celebration at All Saints Church in Snodland last night. Marggie has studied for two years with the other Bishop's Certificate candidates, whilst at the same time working full time (including night shifts), finishing off a dissertation for an MA in Digital Theology, and serving on the pastoral care team at Living Well Bromley, and on the church intercessions, leading, preaching and refreshments teams. Marggie, we don't know how you do it - you are an inspiration!

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Messy Church tomorrow afternoon to explore the story of the Bible’s biggest picnic through crafts, games, challenges, songs, story and, of course, a picnic.
No need to bring food - we have plenty of ingredients for children to make up their own. Gluten- and dairy-free options will be available.
