Since our last post we’ve been blessed by the Ministry of Major Margaret Downham for 2 Sunday’s and Major Jonny Smith for 1 Sunday. Post Pentecost we Thank God for His Love and His Transforming Grace available through Him, His Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit.

Today we prayed for many, families unknown to us personally from Minehead after this week’s Coach Accident but definately known to God. We prayed for those in Texas who continue to grieve love ones following the recent Floods. We prayed for Syria. We prayed for personal Family members. We prayed for our Church Family who couldn’t be with us today and We prayed for each other.

Today We Worshipped! It was good to see returning faces back in our Church Family.
We are grateful to the Lord for the past! 143 years in Hoxton, 86 Years in our present building! Today we Worshipped a God of the Present! Whilst knowing that we can trust Him with and for the Future!

Finally, we Love as The Family of God at Hoxton, Celebrating Birthdays and today it was Janes turn!
Homemade Pizza! Amazing Birthday Cake! Cheese and Biscuits and Cup Cakes!
A few pictures from today!

During the last 3 weeks we’ve been Celebrating Birthdays at Church and getting ready to Celebrate Next Sunday The Birthday of The Christian Church while at the Same Time we will Celebrate 143 Years of Ministry in Hoxton and 86 Years of Ministry through the Open Door of the building that is Hoxton Corps today!
During the last three weeks we’ve welcomed New People in through our Open Doors, we’ve Thanked God for Regular Folk returning to share with us, and we’ve had a Corporate Team visit us to make a difference by doing some Volunteering!
We’ve prayed and will continue to pray for those not well just now, those bereaved in recent days, those affected by war and for those who minister in these situations.
This coming will week be busy! Community Activities including our Summer Sale this Saturday and The Praise Party on Sunday that will be Pentecost 2025! Everyone is Welcome!

Welcome to Hoxton SA.

There’s been much happening over the last few months since our last posting!

God has been Good! We Thank Him for His Love and Care! We Thank Him for His Church which continues to Grow!

We’ve Journeyed through Lent Together, been Reminded of the Fact that the Devil is a Liar (as we often say here at Hoxton SA), Gave Tganks because Our God is Mighty and Jesus in the Wilderness proves to us so much!

We journeyed through Holy Week together and it was good on Palm Sunday to Worship with Majors Margaret and David/Joe Bailey (once stationed here) who were visitors in our congregation.

We Worshipped together on Good Friday and God’s Blessings were ours as we Thanked God that on Palm Sunday when Jesus Rode into Jerusalem it meant Holy Week had begun and been remembered and Good Friday was now here. FOR GOD SO LOVED… HE GAVE JESUS!

Ofcourse, Easter Sunday was Coming and it Came and like many Christians World Wide we Celebrated!!! So much Celebrating we could have stayed together for even more hours!

Low Sunday Came too and we shared our traditional Fish Finger Rolls together after Worship as we had considered Jesus’ Breakfast on the Beach with the Disciples on that first Low Sunday.

We Worship a Forgiving God and as we saw Peter Reinstated to Serve and Minister again, we were Reminded that we all have a part to play in sharing The Good News!

God has Certainly been Good to us as a Worshipping Community!

In the Community Work too here at Hoxton SA we have seen God Present!

There have been Challenge’s along the Way but as The Song Writer once Wrote:

“ if all were easy, if all were bright, where would the cross be, and where the fight?” “ but in the hardness, God gives to you (and me), chances of proving that you (we) are true!”

Finally, ofcourse being Hoxton SA there was lots of Praising and Lots of Birthday Cake!!

A few Photo’s of an Amazing Few Months in Fellowship together!

Plus a Forward Notice of the Up Coming Summer Sale!

We want to Give Thanks today for so much! Over the last few months we’ve opened our doors and have been blessed by those who have come in and the transformation that has taken place in the lives of both the Young and Old!
As I sit writing this I listen to voices using our roof space for Football Practise!
As I sit writing this I rejoice that today we’ve had Office Move Arounds here at Hoxton SA that will make us more effective for Mission and bring more footfall through our main doors!
We are so pleased to work alongside Faith House who continue to have office space with us! We are also so grateful for Unity in Mission with other Faiths that also reach out to those in need and clearly serve suffering humanity! After 24 years as tenants in our Basement Offices we are pleased to Welcome Derman to our First Floor Office Space along side Faith House.
Everyone has worked so hard today!
We are going to share some photo's of some of the things that Hoxton SA has done over the last few months…
From Serving Those in Need to Remembering those now at Rest. From Being a Worshipping Family of God to the Celebration of Life and Birthdays We Give God all the Praise and Thanks for all of this!
We’re not going to label each Picture because they speak for themselves and The Open Door at Hoxton SA!

Come along if you’re in the area of Hoxton on the 1st March 2025 🙂 Everyone is Welcome!
