ππ» LET US PRAY ππ»
"O Lord, I wish to walk through this world
with a holy and a heavenly mind,
to be a living epistle of Thy grace,
and to show forth Thy praises in all my ways.
But, alas, I often find my heart prone to wander,
and my feet ready to slip from the narrow path.
Grant me the grace of watchfulness,
that I may discern the snares of the enemy
and the deceitfulness of my own heart.
Let Thy Word be a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.
Order my steps according to Thy promise,
and let no iniquity have dominion over me.
Help me to walk worthy of the vocation
wherewith Thou hast called me,
with all lowliness and meekness,
with long-suffering, forbearing others in love.
May I seek to please Thee in all my doings,
and to adorn the doctrine of God my Saviour in all things.
Keep me from conforming to the spirit of this age,
and let my conversation be always in heaven,
from whence also I look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Strengthen me by Thy Holy Spirit
that I may run with patience the race set before me,
looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith,
until I finish my course with joy,
and enter into the rest that remaineth for the people of God.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen"
