Το Σάββατο 23 Μαΐου η ενορία μας πραγματοποίησε προσκυνηματική εκδρομή στην Ιερά Πατριαρχική και Σταυροπηγιακή Μονή Τιμίου Προδρόμου στο Έσσεξ.
Από την πρώτη στιγμή της άφιξής μας, οι πατέρες και οι αδελφές της Μονής μάς υποδέχθηκαν με πολλή αγάπη και εγκαρδιότητα. Είχαμε την ευκαιρία να ξεναγηθούμε στους χώρους της Μονής, να γνωρίσουμε την ιστορία και την πνευματική της παρακαταθήκη και να προσκυνήσουμε με ευλάβεια τον τάφο του Αγίου Σωφρονίου του Έσσεξ.
Ιδιαίτερη ευλογία για όλους μας αποτέλεσε η τέλεση της Παρακλήσεως προς την Υπεραγία Θεοτόκο στον νέο ναό της Μονής. Με την ευλογία του Γέροντος, την ακολουθία τέλεσε ο εφημέριος της ενορίας μας, π. Κωνσταντίνος, ενώ έψαλαν οι ιεροψάλτες του ναού μας μαζί με τα παιδιά του Ιερού Βήματος. Η ατμόσφαιρα ήταν κατανυκτική και βαθιά συγκινητική.
Παράλληλα, υπήρξε χρόνος για προσωπική προσευχή, περισυλλογή και επικοινωνία μεταξύ των μελών της ενορίας μας, γεγονός που συνέβαλε στη δημιουργία ακόμη ισχυρότερων δεσμών αγάπης και ενότητας.
Αναχωρήσαμε από τη Μονή γεμάτοι πνευματική χαρά, ευγνωμοσύνη και τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις, ευχαριστώντας θερμά την αδελφότητα για τη φιλοξενία και την αγάπη που μας προσέφερε.
Ευχόμαστε ο Τίμιος Πρόδρομος, η Υπεραγία Θεοτόκος και ο Άγιος Σωφρόνιος να πρεσβεύουν υπέρ πάντων ημών.

On Saturday, 23 May, our parish organised a pilgrimage to the Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of St John the Baptist in Essex.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with great warmth and love by the monastic community. We were given a guided tour of the monastery grounds and had the opportunity to learn more about its history and spiritual heritage. We also venerated the grave of St Sophrony of Essex, a moment of profound blessing and inspiration for all of us.
A special highlight of our pilgrimage was the celebration of the Paraklesis Service to the Most Holy Theotokos in the monastery’s new church. With the blessing of the Abbot , the service was led by our parish priest, Fr Konstantinos, while the hymns were chanted by our parish chanters together with our altar servers. The atmosphere was prayerful, reverent, and deeply moving.
There was also time for personal prayer, reflection, and fellowship, allowing everyone to enjoy the peace and beauty of the monastery and to strengthen the bonds within our parish community.
We departed with hearts filled with gratitude, spiritual joy, and wonderful memories, thankful for the generous hospitality and love shown to us by the monastic community.
May St John the Baptist, the Most Holy Theotokos, and St Sophrony of Essex continue to pray for us all.

Την 21η Μαΐου η Εκκλησία μας εόρτασε τη μεγάλη Δεσποτική Εορτή της Αναλήψεως του Κυρίου, καθώς και τη μνήμη των Αγίων Ισαποστόλων Κωνσταντίνου και Ελένης.
Του Όρθρου και της Θείας Λειτουργίας προεξήρχε ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Κολωνείας κ. Αθανάσιος, προσφέροντας πνευματική χαρά και ευλογία στους πιστούς που παρευρέθηκαν.
Στο τέλος της Θείας Λειτουργίας, ο Σεβασμιώτατος απηύθυνε θερμές και εγκάρδιες ευχές προς τον εφημέριο του ναού μας, π. Κωνσταντίνο, με αφορμή την ονομαστική του εορτή, εξυμνώντας το έργο και την πολύτιμη διακονία του στην ενορία.
Στη συνέχεια, εκπρόσωπος του Εκκλησιαστικού Συμβουλίου έλαβε τον λόγο και εξέφρασε, με ιδιαίτερα θερμά λόγια, την αγάπη και την εκτίμηση της κοινότητας προς τον π. Κωνσταντίνο, προσφέροντάς του μία ευχετήρια κάρτα με τις ευχές πολλών μελών της ενορίας, καθώς και ένα δώρο αγάπης ως ένδειξη ευγνωμοσύνης.
Αμέσως μετά, προσφέρθηκε σε όλους το καθιερωμένο δωρεάν κοινοτικό γεύμα, δίνοντας την ευκαιρία για συναναστροφή και κοινή χαρά.
Ιδιαίτερα συγκινητική και πρωτοφανής υπήρξε η μεγάλη προσέλευση του κόσμου.
Ευχόμαστε ο Κύριος να χαρίζει υγεία, δύναμη και πλούσια την ευλογία Του στον π. Κωνσταντίνο, ώστε να συνεχίζει το θεάρεστο έργο του προς δόξαν Θεού και ωφέλεια της ενορίας.

On 21 May, our Church celebrated the great Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, together with the Holy Equals-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Helen.
His Eminence Metropolitan Athanasios of Koloneia presided over the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy, offering spiritual joy and blessing to all the faithful in attendance.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence addressed the parish priest of our church, Fr. Konstantinos, with warm and heartfelt wishes on the occasion of his name day, praising his dedicated service and the valuable work he carries out within our parish.
A representative of the Parish Council then spoke, expressing with sincere and heartfelt words the love and appreciation of the community for Fr. Konstantinos, presenting him with a card containing the well-wishes of many parish members, as well as a gift of love as a token of gratitude.
Following the service, the customary complimentary community meal was offered to all, providing an opportunity for fellowship and shared joy.
The turnout of the faithful was truly remarkable and deeply moving.
We pray that the Lord grants health, strength, and abundant blessings to Fr. Konstantinos, so that he may continue his God-pleasing work for the glory of God and the benefit of the parish.

Με βαθιά θλίψη αναγγέλλουμε την κοίμηση του αγαπητού μας Ανδρέα Κυριακού, γνωστού σε όλους μας ως ο Ανδρέας ο μπαρμπέρης.
Για περισσότερα από 20 χρόνια διακονούσε με πίστη, ταπείνωση και αγάπη στο Ιερό Βήμα. Η παρουσία του στην εκκλησία μας ήταν σταθερή και παρηγορητική, και η αθόρυβη προσφορά του υπήρξε φωτεινό παράδειγμα ζωντανής πίστης.
Ήταν ένας άνθρωπος καλοσυνάτος και ταπεινός, ιδιαίτερα αγαπητός και σεβαστός από όλους. Η προσφορά του στην Εκκλησία και στην κοινότητά μας δεν θα ξεχαστεί ποτέ.
Προσευχόμαστε ο Κύριος να αναπαύσει την ψυχή του και να χαρίζει δύναμη και παρηγοριά στην οικογένειά του και σε όλους όσοι τον αγαπούσαν.
Η εξόδιος ακολουθία θα τελεστεί την Τετάρτη 27 Μαΐου στις 10:00.

With deep sorrow, we announce the falling asleep in the Lord of our beloved Andreas Kyriacou, known to all of us as Andreas the Barber.
For over 20 years, he served faithfully in the Holy Altar with humility, devotion, and love. His presence in our church was steady and comforting, and his quiet service was a true example of living faith.
He was a kind and humble man, deeply loved and respected by all. His contribution to the Church and to our community will never be forgotten.
We pray that the Lord grant rest to his soul and give strength and comfort to his family and to all who mourn his loss.
The Funeral Service for our beloved Andreas Kyriacou will be held on Wednesday, 27 May, at 10:00
