St Cyprian's Clarence Gate We are an Anglican church in Marylebone, worshipping in the Anglo-Catholic tradition with a highly regarded choir.

Our interior is a fine example of the neo-gothic architect, Ninian Comper. St Cyprian's is a Church of England parish church in Marylebone, London. It has a spectacular interior designed by the Gothic-revival architect, Sir Ninian Comper. Our choir, St Cyprian's Singers, is one of the leading mixed voiced church choirs in London and they provide music at the regular choral Mass on Sundays and at s

Our series continues this Sunday 19 April at 6.00pm with our very own choir, the St Cyprian’s Singers, performing a programme inspired by the 1994 ECM album Officium. Sacred choral music by arvopärt and others infused with jazz improvisation from .m.flower.

Doors open at 5.30pm. Followed by refreshments.

Preparing for Maundy Thursday Service this evening at 7.30 pm. The organ will fall silent after the choir’s singing of the Gloria. With feet washing, stripping away the linens on the High Altar and then the Altar of Repose in the Lady Chapel will be bathed in candle light, we keep watch for Good Friday.

Amazing trip to see the workshop of Bishop & Son Organ Builders as we plan the restoration of our magnificent but aging Spurden-Rutt organ. Bishops have been tuning the organs at St Cyprian’s since the 1880s (cost 5 guineas). Fascinating to see the skill, artistry and craftsmanship on show. Workshop heaven!

Laetare Sunday is the 4th Sunday in Lent. Traditionally, this was the only day in Lent when you could get married and servants were given a day-off to visit their mother church where they were baptised. Nowadays, we celebrate this Mothering Sunday by bringing out the rose colours and give flowers to our congregation. Easter is clearly in sight.

27th Feb is the lesser festival of George Herbert, the 17th Century Metaphysical poet. Our curate Rachel Sheppard reading his poem ‘Love’ at yesterday’s lunchtime mass. ‘Love bade me welcome; yet my soul drew back……’ A great poem for contemplation during Lent.

You are all welcome to our Ash Wednesday Evening Service with the Imposition of Ashes. Start the Lenten journey towards Easter with this solemn and reflective service - with our choir singing Byrd’s Mass for four voices, Allegri’s Miserere and Purcell’s Remember Not Lord our offences.

Happy New Year! We start the New Year with the Feast of Epiphany on the first Sunday of 2026. Our nativity scene is all ready to welcome the three magi bearing gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense during our epiphany procession this coming Sunday.
