Today we celebrated the final service of Fr Tom after 20 years of faithful ministry in our parish.

It’s hard to put into words just how much Fr Tom, together with Sue, has meant to our church family and wider community. Through their kindness, compassion, encouragement, and unwavering faith, they have touched countless lives and helped shape our parish into the welcoming community it is today.

We are incredibly grateful for everything they have given over the past two decades. Their love for God and for others has inspired us all, and the legacy of faith they leave behind will continue to guide and strengthen our parish for years to come.

As Fr Tom and Sue begin this new chapter of retirement, we wish them every happiness, good health, and abundant blessings. Thank you both for your faithful service, your friendship, and your love. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

May we honour all that you have built by continuing to live out the faith and community spirit you have so faithfully nurtured.

Today we celebrated all fathers during our wonderful All-Age Family Service.

A big thank you to Rachel for preparing the plant potting activity for the children, which was enjoyed by everyone.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Fr Tom, who for the past 20 years has been a spiritual father to the Christian community on the Isle of Dogs. We are deeply thankful for his wisdom, unwavering support, and spiritual guidance, especially during challenging times.

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers and father figures. May God bless you for all that you do.

This ritual is not only about the food itself, but about gratitude, faith, and recognising God’s presence in everyday life.
