This morning, it was wonderful to welcome our neighbours from Walker Primary School to Christ Church for their annual Harvest Festival.

The broadbeans are sleeping in their blankety bed. 🥫🌱

Thou monarch blest of great renown, thou who dost wear the victor's crown; Alleluia, Alleluia.

🙏🏻 On Saturday, a group of pilgrims from Christ Church journeyed to Westminster Abbey for the National Pilgrimage to the Shrine of St Edward the Confessor. There, we were enriched and fortified by the Eucharist and prayers before the Shrine.

After a picnic lunch in the College Garden, we were treated to the magnificent combined voices of the Choir of Westminster Abbey and the St Margaret’s Choristers at Evensong. What a sound!⛪

O great Confessor, sainted king, O holy Edward with us sing, Alleluia.

🧽 🌷 Last Saturday, a group of volunteers, joined by the Hatters Explorer Scouts, spent the morning cleaning and gardening to get the church and grounds ready for the seasons ahead. What a fantastic effort!

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy. The pews are so shiny, you can see your face in them! 🌿 🧹

So much hard work goes into our many liturgies, activities and events, and we couldn’t do any of it without our amazing volunteers!

Today, the Sidesmen gathered for their annual meeting, followed by a hearty lunch. A huge thank you to Judith Lo and the whole team for their wonderful ministry of welcome, hospitality and encouragement: the smiling faces of Christ Church! 🙌🏻👏🏻🌟
