Two things for Sunday! First, our regular Sunday service at St Mary Magdalene will be at the earlier time of 10am, and at 10.45 we’ll be heading to the war memorial at the southern end of Central Park for a short service of remembrance, starting at 10.55.
We’ll be joined by our ward councillors, David, Denise and Nick, who will also be laying a wreath.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all who live with the reality of war in the present - especially in relation to the horrific situation in the Middle East, and in Ukraine. We remember too those who bear the physical and emotional scars of past conflicts. We continue to seek a world in which war is a thing of the past, honouring those who have given themselves so selflessly in the service of their country, and remembering especially those who paid the ultimate price.
