SEPTEMBER: MY MONTH OF DIVINE RESTORATION

Welcome to September, beloved. This is not just another month. This is your month of divine restoration.

What the enemy stole, what life delayed, what time broke — God says, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten" (Joel 2:25). In this ninth month, God is giving you back what belongs to you.

Restoration is not patching up. It’s making whole. It’s making better than before. God told Job, "And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before"* (Job 42:10). This September, God is moving you into double for your trouble.

For some of you, God is restoring your health. "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord" (Jeremiah 30:17). For some, it’s your joy, your peace, your finances, your family. The Lord says, "Behold, I am making all things new" (Revelation 21:5).

Don’t carry August’s disappointment into September. God is doing a new thing. "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland" (Isaiah 43:19).

Declare it daily: September is my month of restoration. My prayer life is restored. My hope is restored. My family is restored. My testimony is restored.

Walk in faith, praise before you see it, because "The God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast" (1 Peter 5:10).

Your September is restored. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"Forever Is Too Long To Be Sad"

Friend, I know the weight you’re carrying right now feels heavy. Some seasons make it feel like the sadness will never lift. But hear this truth: forever is too long to be sad. God did not create you to live in a permanent place of sorrow.

The Bible reminds us, "Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning" (Psalm 30:5). Night seasons are real. Tears are real. But they are not forever. God promises that morning — new hope, new strength, new joy — is on the way.

Jesus Himself said, "In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). He doesn’t deny the pain. He walks through it with you. And because He overcame, your story doesn’t end in sadness.

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore" (Revelation 21:4). That’s God’s final word over your life. No more endless grief. No more permanent heartbreak.

So what do we do while we wait for the morning?
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Talk to Him. Cry to Him. Let Him carry what is too heavy for you.
"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this.

Choose today to believe that this is a season, not a life sentence. "The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). Let His joy begin to rise in you again, little by little.

Forever is too long to be sad. And with God, it won’t be. A new song is coming.
