Fair play for SNU churches

Fair play for SNU churches To air views about whether the Spiritualist National Union has relevance any more. It is intended to put the truth before you so please challenge articles.

For a frank exchange of views from churches who have had good and bad dealings with the SNU. Let us know your experiences of Head Office particularly in relation to property, complaints and speediness/accuracy of correspondence. We are particularly interested in hearing from those who have or are trying to disaffiliate as well as those who are looking to join the Union.

The damage is still being done to spiritualism by the very organisation that claim it as a religion. Why do people not ask if the SNU is such a good organisation does it have declining membership as people walk away from it? What causes this revulsion for people to stay away?

The top jobs have been falling with the resignation of Minister Steven Upton at the AGM, when members failed to pass Motion 1 allowing Trustees to be paid for goods and services.

No top job for the struck off solicitor, Graham Hewitt. He has been bypassed for Shirley McGee, the Chief Administrative Officer. Ah well, the for the pipe and slippers soon Graham?

CHARLES COULSTON RETIRING - Good to hear Charles Coulston will be handing over from April 2015. The President say, 'Charles Coulston has informed the NEC of his intention to retire as General Secretary in April 2015. He will continue working for the Union as a consultant to support Shirley McGee, the Chief Administrative Officer, who will take on the General Secretary's role. Charles has given the Union unstinting service and loyalty to the Union for over thirty years and he is held in the very highest esteem by both members of the NEC and by members in general. '

Unfortunately, many would disagree with David Bruton and think that this pedantic man is partially responsible for the numerical decline of spiritualism and say a cheery goodbye. Let's hope the SNU religion abandons the hierarchical nonsense we see currently before Spirit abandons the SNU.
