West London Islamic Cultural Centre

West London Islamic Cultural Centre A mosque, a community centre, a social hub, a place where all the community comes together with one t We strive to facilitate activities for everyone.

Established in the heart of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, we serve a local community of varying ages, backgrounds and abilities. The backbone of the West London Islamic Cultural Centre is our mosque which serves as a hub for the local community where we have regular lessons in aqeedah, fiqh and tafsir, lectures by esteemed scholars and special guests as well as seasonal conferences.

But we are more than just a masjid, the West London Islamic Cultural Centre has always been keen to develop the services it provides for its community over the years, as the community gets bigger so do our operations. For the children, we established ‘Quran Cubs’ which serves to make teaching Qur'an and imparting the Muslim identity something fun which the children look forward to. We have a dedicated sisters' Qur'an college for women and for those more dedicated to seeking knowledge and wishing to further their Islamic studies, we have the Imam Shatibi Institute which attracts students from all over the UK. Throughout the years, we’ve seen our centre grow from a local mosque into one of the UK’s leading Islamic Centres. Most unique in its services, we now attract more people than ever from very diverse backgrounds. As a means of serving the wider Muslim community, the WLICC hold regular free weekend courses open to everyone, conferences with esteemed scholars as well as various other events.

Allah الله — the name of the One true God.

He is the One whose existence is necessary, the One who is completely unique, and the only One deserving of worship.

Understanding the name Allah helps us recognise who our Creator is and why all worship belongs to Him alone.

Marriage can feel like something you're constantly waiting for, especially when it isn't happening as quickly as you hoped.

But while you wait, don't put your life on hold.

Show up for your community. Be there for others. Be of service.

Sometimes, the things we're looking for begin with simply becoming more present in the lives around us. 🤍

Guidance is a blessing, but staying guided is something we should continually ask Allah for.

May we never allow our hearts to turn away after knowing the truth. May Allah grant us understanding, protect us from doubt, and keep our hearts firm upon His guidance.

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us Your mercy. 🤍

He is Allah.

The One who created the heavens and the earth.

The Most Merciful. The Most Gracious. The Most Holy. The Most Just.

The One we worship, the One we turn to in difficulty, and the One in whom we seek refuge.

When everything feels uncertain, remember Who Allah is. 🤍

Al-Ghafoor - The Most Forgiving. 🤍

Allah's forgiveness is unlike anything we can comprehend. His forgiveness is greater, more vast, and more merciful than anything we can experience from one another.

Whatever you've done, never let your mistakes make you lose hope in the mercy of Allah.

Turn back to Al-Ghafoor.

Sometimes, we become so used to expecting the worst that negativity starts to feel natural.

But look at Musa (AS). Even when he was heading towards an uncertain future, he remained hopeful that Allah would guide him to what was right.

Not everything has to be viewed through the worst-case scenario.

Speak good. Expect good from Allah. And stop constantly convincing yourself that something bad is bound to happen.

Your mindset matters. 🤍

The last two ayahs of Surah Al-Baqarah 🤍

A reminder that Allah knows your limits better than you do.

He never burdens a soul beyond what it can bear. And even when we fall short, He teaches us exactly how to turn back to Him

Recite these ayahs tonight, reflect on their meaning, and let your heart find peace in His mercy.

May Allah make the Qur'an a source of comfort, guidance, and light for us all. Ameen.

Sometimes we may not understand why Allah allows us to go through certain difficulties.

But Allah knows what we cannot see. He knows the full picture, the outcome, and the wisdom behind every situation.

The story of Prophet Yusuf عليه السلام is a powerful reminder that what feels difficult in one moment may be part of something far greater that Allah is preparing for us.

When you know Allah, you begin to see your trials differently. You learn to trust His wisdom even when you cannot yet understand the reason.

A powerful reminder from our Who is Allah? series, exploring the beautiful Names and Attributes of Allah.

Trust is a responsibility. Honesty is an obligation. And every action, whether seen by others or kept hidden in our hearts, is known to Allah.

These verses reminds us to fulfil our trusts, speak the truth, and remain conscious of Allah in both our public and private lives. He knows what we reveal and what we conceal, and to Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth.

May these verses inspire us to live with sincerity, integrity, and constant awareness of our Lord. 🤍

Indeed, Allah is fully aware of all that we do.
