Newman House

Newman House Newman House is the central Catholic Chaplaincy for students and staff at London's universities. WELCOME TO THE CATHOLIC CHAPLAINCY! Everyone is welcome.

Newman House is a home for all Catholics who belong to the Universities and other Higher Education Institutions in the Diocese of Westminster, and for all those who are seeking to grow closer to Christ and his Church. It is a place where you can explore your faith as a young adult, meet other young people from a great range of backgrounds, and get involved in the chaplaincy community and social ou

treach. If you already have a strong faith, this is a chance to deepen it. If you are full of questions and doubts, this is a chance to share them and search for some honest answers about life and faith. Come and visit us at Newman House, or look out for the Catholic Chaplain or Catholic Student Society at your college – see the website for more information: universitycatholic.net

Volunteers needed! & Sew On...' volunteer
We are looking for volunteers to join and support our sewing project (“& Sew On…”) every Tuesday. This role will entail supporting participants to learn basic sewing skills and suppor them in making and mending clothing and bags.

Participants include our refugee friends, volunteers, staff, and potentially at a later stage members of the public.

You will assist the Refugee Activities Coordinator and Community Project Coordinator a wide variety of activity-related tasks, such as creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation in activities and providing practical support to set-up and set-down activities.
