Our private family burial gardens are thoughtfully designed to provide a lasting place of remembrance where loved ones can remain together, now and in the future 🤍

Each garden can accommodate up to 8 burials, offering families the comfort of knowing there is space to stay connected across generations.

For larger families, we can also accommodate multiple gardens beside one another, ensuring loved ones can rest side by side in a peaceful and meaningful setting.

Every family is different, which is why we offer complete flexibility to help create the arrangement that feels right for you and your loved ones.

We know how much our grounds mean to the families who visit us, and we understand that recently some areas have not reflected the high standard you rightly expect from us.
The memorial grounds are a place of remembrance, reflection and connection and they are just as important to our team as they are to the families and loved one of those resting here. We take great pride in maintaining them and recognise that, in recent months, staffing challenges have impacted our ability to keep our grounds looking their best.
We want to reassure the community that significant work is now underway. Our team have been working tirelessly to improve and restore the grounds, with additional resources dedicated to ensuring they return to the standard families deserve.
We are grateful for your patience and understanding while this work continues. Thank you to everyone who has shared feedback with us - your comments matter, and we remain committed to providing a peaceful, respectful and beautifully maintained environment for all who visit.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone 30 years of service from our Head Groundsman, Pete.

There truly is nothing Pete can’t do. His knowledge, skill, dedication, and willingness to help are second to none. Over the years, he has become so much more than a valued colleague; he is a trusted friend and an integral part of our team.

Pete’s hard work, commitment, and positive attitude have helped shape who we are today, and we are grateful for everything he does, often without seeking recognition.

Our Memorial Consultant, Jade, will be available on Monday and Wednesday, while our fully trained and experienced team members, Lesley and Paula, will be available on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

East London Cemetery is proud to be hosting a Cancer Research Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September 2026 at 11:00am.

Cancer has touched the lives of so many of us, making this a cause that is especially close to the hearts of our staff and local community. We invite you to come together for a morning of coffee, cake, conversation and fundraising as we support the vital work of Cancer Research UK.

Every cup, every slice of cake and every donation helps fund life-saving research and brings us one step closer to beating cancer.
