Prayer must be our lifeline
We have five fingers that can stand because of our arm. The arm that holds us up as Christians is our prayers. It is very important that we make prayer our life line. We must let God be the first person we talk to. God should be first in everything that we do. When something happens out of control, we must pray unto God straight away. We must not look at our situations with no hope because with faith, God can make all things happen. Just like we need milk to feed and grow, we need prayer to grow our spirit. We must know how to apply the word of God. We need to believe that God can do all things, he has shown himself manifest. God dwells in our souls. God does not need our money but he uses it to test us to see if we will be obedient to his word. God knows our needs, giving tithe supports ministries. We can never give God too much. When we give, things will come unto us.
Philippians 4:6-7New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Acts 6:1-4New King James Version (NKJV)
Seven Chosen to Serve
6 Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists,[a] because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. 2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
