🌿✨ Our prayer tree is full of treasure…

In our All-age Trust & Treasure service, we reflected on the quiet riches of creation: birds, lilies, and all the small signs of God’s care that surround us.

This tree now stands as a living prayer that is rooted in trust & growing in hope. 🌱

As we enter June, a time to celebrate and uplift our LGBTQ+ siblings, we give thanks for the diversity and beauty of God’s people.

At St George’s, we are proud to be part of the Network, working alongside others to build churches where everyone is welcomed, valued, and affirmed.

We believe this reflects the heart of Scripture:

💛 That every person is made in God’s image (Gen. 1:26–27)
💛 That every person is loved unconditionally (Rom. 8:38–39)
💛 That everyone belongs (Gal. 3:28)

Whoever you are, however you identify, you are welcome here — just as God made you.

📚One Month Away! 📖

St George’s is delighted to be hosting a special evening of conversation, reflection, and celebration this June.

On Friday 26th June at 7.30 pm, we welcome Revd Jody Stowell, who will be in conversation with Revd Alexandra Lilley to explore themes from Bruised Reeds & Mustard Seeds. We warmly congratulate Jody on her publication and Alexandra on her collaboration with this project, both of which reflect a deep commitment to thoughtful, hope-filled dialogue for small churches in the Anglican Communion.

Please read the book description, courtesy of Canterbury Press:

“At a time when churches across denominations face a steady decline in attendance, smaller congregations often find themselves overshadowed by the push for growth and numbers. While larger ‘Resource Churches’ are praised for their expansion, the true value of the smaller church is frequently overlooked. But what if there’s a unique gift in these smaller communities?

Jody Stowell invites you to explore how, in the race for growth, we may be missing the deep significance and essential role of smaller congregations. As anxiety about survival and financial security spreads throughout the church, local churches and their leaders bear the burden. Yet within these smaller churches lies a richness, resilience and spiritual depth that is often lost in the noise. This is a call to rediscover the profound worth of smaller congregations and recognize their vital place in the future of faith communities.”

All are welcome!

…And a light to my path. 🕯️

Join us for a Chilterns walk this Saturday (30 May). It’s a relaxed 5‑mile circular route with the chance to get out into the countryside. We’ll leave Tufnell Park at 10:00 and meet at 11:15 outside the C**k and Rabbit in The Lee.

Bring a packed lunch and come ready for a spring day out. Public transport is quite limited, so lifts really matter — and we’re currently short of one car. If you’re able to offer a lift, it would make all the difference. Please DM if you’re able to provide this blessing 💛💚

Contact Dan and/or Olivia if you plan on attending.

Yesterday, St George’s Accessibility Committee commemorated the start of Dementia Action Week by selling pins in support of Alzheimer's Society 💙

Thank you to everyone who donated or purchased a pin, and helped us raise awareness for those living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.

Thank you to for repairing several items at today’s afternoon workshop! 🛠️

We love knowing that our parish has ended the day as a more sustainable version of itself. 💛🌎

Fancy a walk in the Chilterns? St George's does! 🌳🌾

You’re warmly invited to a relaxed 5‑mile circular walk on Saturday, 30 May, starting in The Lee village. It should be a really enjoyable day out together in the countryside.

Our plan is to:
• Leave Tufnell Park at 10:00
• Meet outside the C**k & Rabbit (HP16 9LZ) at around 11:15
• Bring a packed lunch

Can You Assist with Lifts? 🚗🚗🚗

The walk isn’t easily accessible by public transport. If anyone with a car could consider offering lifts, it would be greatly appreciated. It would be a blessing to ensure everyone who wants to come can join.

We hope to see you there!
