On Sunday, after 9 years of being vicar at St Matthews, we said goodbye to Reverand Christiana Asinugo with a big, big send off joined by friends and family of Christy and St Matts. Christy, we will miss you very much. Thank you for all your guidance, leadership and teaching. Enjoy your retirement 😇

We welcomed Archdeacon Elwin this morning who led today's sermon on change and looking forward to what God has in store for us as well as hearing testimonies from the Congregation about St Matthews past and present.

We also held our Annual Parochial Church Meeting, rounding off the past 12 months and all the things we have accomplished as a Church over that period.

We had a lovely service on Sunday, welcoming Rev. Christy back after her break and Andrew delivering the sermon.

John 13v34: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Last night after 3 years, we were able to come together again for our annual Maundy Thursday fish and chip last supper followed by a short service led by Rev. Christiana.

A lovely evening of fellowship.

We had a lovely service this moring lead by Rev. Christiana and Sam who delivered the sermon, a sermon on God's love for us even as imperfect people.
