Years ago, while I was ministering at a conference, joy broke out all over the room. It was wonderful!

Later that afternoon, the next speaker got up and announced, "The season of joy is over. Now it's time to go to the desert so that God can work on your character."

People came to me afterward confused. "Did we do something wrong?"

I told them, "Don't worry. I'm the last speaker tonight, I will clear up everything for you."

I explained that joy is a fruit of the Spirit, and there isn't any seasonality for His Joy.

'The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace...' - Galatians 5:22

Think about it. Can we ever say that the season of love is over? Or peace? Kindness? Goodness? Self control?

Of course not. So why would we ever say the season of joy is over?

God's joy is for every season, especially the HARD ones!

When life gets difficult, joy isn't pretending everything is fine. Joy is STRENGTH from GOD for the journey.

'The joy of the Lord is your strength.' - Nehemiah 8:10

My friends, don't let anyone convince you that the JOY of the LORD is frivolous or optional or shallow. It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and it is for every season. If your joy meter is a little low today, I encourage you to remember His goodness and let Him refresh and strengthen you.
