The Church of the Transfiguration is situated in the diocese of Westminster and the Brent deanery. The church was originally built as a Presbyterian church and later a Methodist church. After a fire, the Methodist community left the church and moved into what was their hall. The diocese acquired the church in 1977 and the parish of Kensal Rise moved from St.

Hello, lovely people.
Just a reminder that there is a Health Screening Event taking place at The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration (Chamberlayne Road- Kensal Rise) next Monday 9 March 2026, from 10:30am to 2:30pm.
Hosted by Brent Health Matters in partnership with the NHS, these events will offer free NHS health checks for the community, including blood pressure checks, diabetes risk assessments, clinical consultations, BMI (height and weight) measurements, and emotional wellbeing support.
There will be two round table talks on nutrition and pharmacy advice from 12pm which will be repeated again at 1pm.
This is a walk-in service, so no appointment is needed. If any concerns arise, the NHS team will contact your GP for further consultation.
If you have mobility issues, please contact me the organiser, Rocio Maguire, on 07719 563125 to discuss accessibility arrangements.

SECOND COACH ADDED, FEW SEATS REMAINING!
Should you wish to book on to our very popular day pilgrimage to Walsingham on Saturday 21st September 2024, please go to the Parish website, www.transfigparishkensalrise.org.uk and click on the Walsingham button to complete the registration form.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please don't hesitate!
The cost is £28.50 per pilgrim

We look forward to seeing you all at the Thanksgiving Mass for Fr Allan Alvarado Gil, who is moving to Kentish Town to take up his role as Parish Priest.
This is a chance for us Parishioners to say thank you for his 3 years of devotion to our Parish, and to support Fr Allan in his next adventure!
Nibbles and drinks will be provided after the Mass so we can celebrate the good ol' Kensal Rise Parish way!
