Lent is a time when the Church invites us to turn towards Christ, in acts of justice and mercy, repentence and in the deepening of our spiritual practices. All are welcome to join us at St James' for our Quiet Day on Saturday 14th March or one of our Compline services on 15th and 22nd March.

We are excited to be looking for a Director of Music at St James'. This is a three year, part time position for a gifted musician to lead the development of music in our mission and worship. The rousing finale to our Islington Proms 2025 season features the return of the Haydn Chamber Orchestra conducted by George Jackson. Their programme TONIGHT includes Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No 4 (soloist Emmanuel Bach) and Mozart’s Symphony No 39. Join us at 7.30pm.

TONIGHT we are are delighted to welcome the internationally renowned Choir of King’s College London and their conductor Joseph Fort to St James'. Join us at 7.30pm to hear them combine Rachmaninov’s evocative setting of the Russian All-Night Vigil with contemporary pieces with a similar ethos and atmosphere.

There's still time to catch Insprire, Create, Connect - an exhibition of paintings and drawings in different styles by four Islington artists: Helen Fuggle, Jenni Gregory, Ann Kozlowski-Hunt and Margaret Thompson. We are delighted to be hosting this free exhibition during the Islington Proms season running to 2nd October - all welcome, daily between 10am and 6pm (11.30am on Sundays.
