Kensal Rise Repair Café - this coming Saturday!
The Kensal Rise Repair Café is a voluntary initiative to help reduce waste, share repair skills and strengthen the local community. If you can carry it our volunteers will try and repair it.....small electrical and wooden items, toys, scooters, jewellery, clothes, bikes etc.
Tea, coffee and homemade cakes on offer.
Saturday 4th July 10.30 am to 1.00pm. (Last order 12.30pm.) At St Martin's Church, 132 -134 Mortimer Road NW10 5SN.

A CIRCLE OF SONGS - QUEENS PARK SINGERS
The QPS summer concert presents lieder by Robert and Clara Schumann alongside vocal quartets by their close friend Johannes Brahms.
This formidable trio were responsible for some of the most poignant musical settings of poetry in the 19th-century.
We will perform a newly re-imagined choral version of Liederkreis op.39, written the year Clara and Robert were married, alongside other touching German lieder in intimate vocal settings.

Open Evening with the artists:
Thursday 18th June 19.00hrs to 20.30hrs
You are warmly invited to an open evening to see, hear and practice the processes used in our Seven Sacraments installation. The artists will talk, briefly, about the aims and objectives behind their temporary intervention in the building and life of the people of the St Martin’s community. Come and ask any questions this provokes or comment about the art and its themes.
There will be an opportunity to try calligraphy with Pansy Cambell, rapid wordplay with Rick Leaf and explore the Frottage techniques Mark Cazalet used to make the visuals for their piece. Bring your smart phone to scan the QR codes for each banner that will enable you to hear the choir sing beautiful musical settings of Rick’s Haikus composed by Juliet Bowerman.
If you are curious and adventurous please come and share a community art project with specific liturgical and theological purpose.
