WHAT NEVER DIES. The lives of Midori and Takashi Nagai.

In the political and cultural turmoil of early 20th century Japan, Dr Takashi Nagai's intellectual and spiritual journey is guided by his restless heart and lively reason. Through the encounter with Midori Moriyama and her discreet witness of authentic faith, Takashi will find a home in the Catholic community of Nagasaki, forged by centuries of persecutions, and the grace to embrace sacrifice in the midst of the atomic wasteland.

The evening will begin at 7 PM in Arrupe Hall with a talk by Maria and Martin Gross, members of the "Friends of Takashi and Midori Nagai" committee - founded in 2021 to promote their Cause of Beatification. After the talk, a painting by artist Ruben Ferreira and the panels of an exhibition on the lives of the two Servants of God will be on display. The exhibition will remain available for viewing until the end of September.

Our United Choir Pilgrimage, consisting of the Choirs of Farm Street Church and the Grosvenor Chapel. This is the Choir led by Duncan Aspden and Richard Hobson singing Evensong for the anniversary of the Foundation of Durham Cathedral yesterday evening.

Songs for Ukraine Choir returns to Farm Street Church on Tuesday 14th July 2026 for its Summer Concert of Ukrainian music. The evening's programme spans midsummer and folk songs to choral works by Mykola Leontovych, the Ukrainian composer known worldwide for his Carol of the Bells.

The concert begins at 7.30pm.

Special Guests: Sofi Lomidze, violin, and Victoria de Melo, piano

Founded in 2023, Songs for Ukraine is an independent choir that unites singers from across the Ukrainian community, many of whom have been displaced by the war, that performs under the guidance of its musical director and conductor, Bohdan Parashchak.

A share of the proceeds will go to support the Voices of Children Foundation, a Ukrainian charity providing psychological support to children affected by war, including stress management and PTSD treatment.

Archbishop Richard Moth has offered his prayers following the terrorist incident on Wednesday 29 April in which two men from the Jewish community in Golders Green were stabbed, saying:

"I pray for the victims of this attack and salute the swift actions of the policemen in preventing further violence; and our continued prayers for the whole Jewish community at this time. We must stand together against all those who promote hatred and violence against any person because of their faith."

Songs for Ukraine is proud to present its next concert, “Let There Be Light,” which will take place on Friday, 24 April 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception (Farm Street Church) in Mayfair, London.

The evening will feature the UK premiere of the Requiem by the great classical Ukrainian composer Kyrylo Stetsenko, as well as music by Dmytro Bortniansky.

The choir will also perform selected works by the modern Ukrainian composer Victoria Vita Poleva, who continues to live and compose in Ukraine after the full-scale invasion.

Founded in 2023 in response to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Songs for Ukraine is a platform that uses music diplomacy to support Ukraine. The choir unites singers from across the Ukrainian community, many of whom have been displaced by war.

A share of the proceeds from all our concert goes to support Ukrainian charities.

Special thanks to Ganna Kryvolap, whose artwork is featured in the concert. The choir is honoured to promote Ukrainian art during its performances.
