SNAP OUT OF IT!

According to the findings of the recent ‘Alan Milburn,’ report on NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training), more than 1 million young people in the United Kingdom are currently without work, education, or training opportunities. This now affects 1 in every 6 young adults aged 16-24.
The Prime Minister has described these figures as “sobering,” while parts of the media have labelled this generation “The Lost Generation.”
For years, many young people were encouraged to believe that university was the only pathway to success. Whilst higher education has benefited some, many others have graduated carrying significant debt, limited opportunities, and deep disappointment. Universities, landlords, transport providers, and various institutions have profited from billions of pounds in fees and associated costs, while many graduates continue to struggle to find meaningful employment.
As a result, countless young people are now walking through life discouraged, disillusioned, and emotionally drained. Many are asking themselves difficult questions about their purpose, value, and future.
Tomorrow morning at 6:00am, we will bring this matter before the Lord in prayer. We will cry out to God on behalf of our young people and ask Him to intervene where doors have been closed, hope has been lost, and opportunities seem scarce.
I still believe that Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider, is able to make a way where there seems to be no way!
Parents, guardians, grandparents, and carers, I earnestly encourage you to wake your young people, especially those between the ages of 16-24, and invite them to join us online themselves or to pray alongside you. Together, we will seek God’s favour, direction, provision, and breakthrough over their lives.
Please send me the names of your children, grandchildren, relatives, and loved ones so that we can specifically pray for them and speak words of declaration, hope, and deliverance over their future.
We will also be praying against the harmful effects often associated with prolonged unemployment, including depression, anxiety, hopelessness, addiction, low self-esteem, and social isolation.
