We are children of God. We did not have to work to earn this status; He made us His children out of His great love for us. Our Father in heaven is a good Father who cares about us. Sometimes we are mistreated by others who do not understand that our Father is God, and it can be disheartening and make us feel like we do not have value. The reality is we cannot allow what the world says to impact our belief in the truth of who God made us because when Jesus was walking on the earth, the world did not recognize Him as God’s child either.

Today, ask God to seal this truth in your heart that you are so loved by God that He calls you His child, have a fruitful week compliment of the season ❤️ 💖 Shallom

New Year, New Labels. Romans 8:37.
Every year, we’re inundated with the latest get-fit-quick fads and tips to become a “new you” in the New Year. It can be exhausting trying to reinvent ourselves every January to keep up with who the world thinks we should be. Our striving and struggling rarely results in acceptance or fulfillment. Instead, people assign new labels to us that only make us question our identity more.

No one likes to be labeled. That’s because labels are often overgeneralized, restrictive, and inaccurate. They come with a set of assumptions, which can be very negative, and they frequently highlight our worst qualities or biggest mistakes. Labels don’t leave room for differences, growth, or redemption.

We all wear labels, whether we buy into the labels that others have put on us or we put them on ourselves. All too often, we allow those labels to limit us and tell us we’re just not enough. Just. We add this tiny, yet significant word when we’re describing ourselves and allow the labels to disqualify us. You’ve probably heard countless people say it, maybe you’ve even said it yourself. “I’m just a high school student” or “I’m just an addict.”

The truth is, you are not your age, your employment status, your diagnosis, your marital status, your struggle, or your past. Those labels may be a descriptor of your situation, your season, or your trial, but your true identity is in who God says you are and nothing else.

You are beautiful, capable, and worthy. You are made new in Christ. You were not given a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. You are more than a conqueror in Christ who gives you strength. You were created on purpose for a purpose. You are loved. You are chosen. You are enough.

Think about the labels you’ve taken on over the last year and over your lifetime. How many do you wear that are contrary to what God says about you in the Bible? Identify the areas of your life that make you feel shameful, insecure, or fearful that someone may find out. Ask God to show you what labels are weighing you down and ask Him to help you shed them. Allow God to help you align your identity with biblical truth so you can live this year, first and foremost, as a child of God Shallom have a great new year Amen 🙏.

Grateful for Provision
What comes to mind when you think of provision? Food, a home, money, the words you need for that speech? What an amazing experience when we stand in a place of deep need and something or someone comes through for us in our time of need. We breathe deep; we might laugh; we might cry; we might get down on our knees and praise!

In John 6:1-15, we are taken back to that moment on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. A large crowd of more than five thousand has gathered, it’s evening and they need something to eat. The disciples immediately look at the enormity of the problem – five thousand plus people and no food in sight, except for five loaves and two fish from a boy. They’ve walked with Jesus, witnessed His miracles, and yet in this moment they seem to be missing the opportunity to witness yet another miracle; one of great provision.

How easy it is to look at the meager offering we hold or the scarcity of our situation and miss the opportunity for the miracle. It’s in that moment, with gratitude, that we can confidently offer what’s in our hands to the One who can take what we bring and multiply it beyond what we could imagine!

Based on the truth of who Jesus is – not on your shortcomings – how might you change your response to any seemingly impossible circumstance you are currently encountering? Shallom God in control 🙏

CANCELLED SERVICE OF SONGS FOR ELDER ISAAC FARAYIBI.
Good morning Sirs & Mas, I have been directed by the Church Trustees to inform you all that following the Prime Minister's national announcement on Monday night 04/01/2021 of a Nationwide Tier 5 Lockdown for England with effect from 12.00 am on 05/01/2021 in a measure to control the further spread of UK Coronavirus variant and prevent further deaths of UK citizens, it is with very hearts that a painful decision was made by the Church's Trustees that the planned Service of Songs programme that had been scheduled to hold on Saturday 9th January 2021 to celebrate the life of CAC UK's Patron & former Trustee, Elder (Pa) Farayibi will have to be cancelled and no longer hold, as the expected guests are likely to far exceed the numbers of 30 guests permitted under the rules and regulations for Funeral gatherings which must be held outside in an open space by the Government under the current National Tier 5 Lockdown. The Trustees have therefore, requested that this painful decision to cancel the Service of Songs programme which is due to circumstances beyond the control of the Trustees and for health and safety reasons should be communicated to the Children of Baba Farayibi as soon as possible. Furthermore, it has also been suggested by the Trustees the Church should host the Children and families of Baba Farayibi upon their return to the UK and well after the Covid-19 Pandemic Lockdown has been completely lifted and life has returned back to normal, a very Special Thanksgiving Service fully hosted and paid for by the Church should be organised in honour of Baba Farayibi. Efforts will be made to arrange to give the monetary contributions made by members to Baba Farayibi's Children in the UK for onward transfer to Mama, Lady Evangelist Farayibi back in Nigeria. The Trustees has also directed me to offer their unreserved apologies to all members of CAC UK and potential guests for any inconvenience that the cancellation of the Service of Songs programme may cause. Finally, I have also been directed to inform all members that henceforth, any further proposed large gatherings except for the Communal Sunday Service gatherings permitted under the current Government Tier 5 National Lockdown rules are cancelled until further notice whilst the Coronavirus Pandemic virus outbreak is still on.
Many thanks for your cooperation and understanding over this painful decision.
Remain all blessed Sirs & Mas,
Elder Omotosho
Secretary/Trustee
For and on behalf of all

The Light Of The World Exposes Your Perfection John 8:12 Pastor Joseph Prince.

"Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12.

When I was a teenager, I heard preachers saying this: “Jesus is the light of the world. So don’t think for one moment that you can do things behind His back. His light will expose all the bad things that you have done!” So I was afraid to come near God, fearing that His glorious light would show up my faults, weaknesses and shame.

But is this what “the light of the world” does?

The truth is found in the context of the verse. Jesus declared that He was the light of the world right after He had told the woman caught in the act of adultery, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

When she said, “No one, Lord”, He said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Then, the Bible tells us that “Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world...’” (John 8:10–12)

How wonderful it is to know that when Jesus said, “I am the light of the world,” His light was not to show up the woman’s sin because He had just told her that He did not condemn her.

This tells us that we don’t have to be fearful when we come into God’s presence. He is not there waiting to punish us for our mistakes and failures. His light is not for exposing our sins and shame, or for condemning us. No, His glorious light is for showing us how perfectly His Son’s blood has washed away our sins! That is why Jesus could tell the woman that He did not condemn her — because He would be condemned for her sin as well as ours at the cross.

Beloved, Jesus’ light unveils the truth that our sins have been completely removed. It reveals how perfect and spotless we are because of Christ’s perfect work at the cross. When you know this, you can go boldly into God’s presence, knowing that you have the light of life that gives you grace and hope! Shallom

God’s Grace Is Unmerited. Galatians 5:4

What is the grace of God? Simply put, the grace of God is God blessing, healing and delivering you because of Jesus. The grace of God is His unearned, unmerited and undeserved favour toward you simply because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross.

Because God’s grace is based on Jesus’ work and not yours, the only way you fall from this grace is by believing that you can earn, merit and deserve it through your obedience and good works.

For example, you fall from grace when you say, “God has to answer my prayer because I have prayed long enough.” You also fall from grace when you think that because you are serving in church or you have kicked a bad habit, God is pleased with you and He has to bless you.

When you think that it is by your efforts and obedience that you receive God’s blessings, you become like the Pharisees. They believed that their law-keeping justified them and ensured that God would bless them. But the truth is that when you believe like them, “you have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace”. This means that you are cut off from Christ, who is your salvation, Redeemer, healer and provider. Christ has become of no effect to you!

My friend, surely you would want Christ to be of effect to you. People to whom Christ is of effect receive from Him the miracle they need. When He is of effect to them, He is their healer and they get healed. He is their wisdom and they are wise before man. He is their good success and they experience good success in all that they do.

Beloved, for Christ to always be of effect to you and to never nullify the grace of God operating in your life, just remember and believe that it is because of Christ and His finished work — His blood, His stripes, His death, His obedience — that you are justified, healed and blessed. Have a peaceful weekend stay safe God in control.

JESUS OUR GOOD SHEPHERD
Many Americans will never forget the newscast from Washington, D.C., after an Air Florida plane crashed into the Potomac River in 1982. Millions heard the reports of a courageous young man saving others as he lost his own life.

Each time the helicopter sent the lifeline his way, he would pass it to someone else. No doubt he knew he could not hold on any longer as he passed the line to the last person. This man’s death, as a result of rescuing others instead of saving himself, was heroic—the result of a tragic accident.
Jesus’ sacrifice for others was no accident. He said, "I lay down my life for the sheep" (John 10:15). He came from heaven so He could die for His sheep—every person who calls upon His name.
It was not by chance that Jesus came to earth, took on human form, and gave His life so we might be saved. He says:

"No one takes [my life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again". John 10:18.
Give thanks today for Jesus’ perfect sacrifice through which the children of God are rescued from sin and death and given eternal life.
Father Lord, thank You for sacrificing Your Son, Jesus Christ, so I might live eternally with You. Help me to share Your Truth with others. I pray in the name of Jesus Amen Shallom.

"And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away" 1 Peter 5:4.

One Thing Is Needful
Proverbs 4:20–21
20My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart

George Müller, who lived in the 1800s, cared for about 10,000 orphans in total in his five large orphanages. But he never allowed his huge responsibility to take him away from the Word of God. He said that every day, he would set aside time to study the scriptures until his inner man was happy in the Lord.

Once, Müller met a man who worked between 14 and 16 hours every day. He told the man, “You are destroying your health. You don’t have time for your family and, most importantly, you don’t have time to nourish your inner man with the Word of God.”

The man replied, “I hear you, but I can’t see how I can cut down my working hours and spend time in the Word because even with the 14 to 16 hours I put in each day, I still can’t put enough bread on the table for my family.”

As the man walked away, Müller said, “He doesn’t believe that if he gives time to God’s Word first, God will take care of all his needs.”

Likewise, do you really believe that every day, only one thing is needful? Even if the bills don’t get paid, the children are not making any headway in their studies and the office work is not completed, all these things can wait. Only one thing is needful — that you spend time in the Word of God.

When Martha complained to Jesus that her sister Mary had left her to serve alone (Mary was sitting at Jesus’ feet and hearing His Word), Jesus defended Mary by saying, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41–42)

My friend, you will not lose out when you take time to sit down and listen to God’s Word. Even your health and well-being will be blessed. (Proverbs 4:22) So take time today to meditate on His Word. It will make your way prosperous (Joshua 1:8–9), and give you divine health and good success! Shallom have a peaceful season, CHRIST our HOPE in crisis.

In Times of Trouble.

Seek God in every season of life. Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ states that there is a season for everything. When you follow God’s Word and you’re led by His instruction He becomes your refuge and safe place. Let His Word guard your heart. Let His Word shield your heart at all times. In times of trouble — He will guide you. Let His Word comfort you and keep you in times of duress. His Peace will go with you through the valley. His Peace will comfort you and shield you from the waves of life. Choose not to focus on the storm — focus on God.

Prayer:

Father God, in the Name of Jesus, You are my refuge. You are my secret place. You are my Strength and comfort in the time of the storm. You are my Strong Tower. In You will I trust. Father, there is no weapon that is formed against me that will prosper — for You are with me and You are for me.

Father I surrender myself to You. Father, I cast my cares upon You for I know that you care for me. There is no storm that can defeat You. There is no weapon that can outrank You. There is no ploy or plot that can outmaneuver You. You are my Lord and I find safety and refuge in You. I will serve You alone.

I dethrone every idol that I have exalted on the throne of my heart. No one can compete with You. No one compares to You. You are my Lord and I surrender to You forever. In Jesus Name. Amen. Shallom have a good bank holiday weekend God bless.

He Is My Strength Psalm 46.
According to Strong’s Concordance the Hebrew word for “Strength” is, ‘oz’ (H5797) which means, “Might”. Who or what are you worshipping? What has exalted itself on the throne of your heart above God? Who have you worshiped and put in place of God? Who stands as mighty in your life? What are you exalting in your life?
When you begin to exalt people, things and the cares of the world higher than God, these “things” and people begin to serve as idols — or God substitutes. Who is your “God substitute”? Who or what has a grip on your heart? Who are you worshipping more than God? What are you exalting? What are you excessively worrying about? Maybe it’s your image. Maybe it’s your reputation. Maybe you’re worshipping your spouse. Maybe you’re exalting a vision, business or ministry. Whoever or whatever you’re placing on the throne of your heart has no place there. Worship God. Don’t let your worries block your worship.
Know that God is your Strength. He is your Comforter. God is your Strong Foundation. He will lead you and guide you through every season of life. There’s nothing wrong with having mentors, wise counselors and people you look up to. However, when you begin to worship people or things they begin to become gods. There is a difference between receiving advice from wise counsel versus worshipping man’s opinion. Seek God and pursue His Counsel — He will lead you in the right direction.
People, platforms and promises have their proper place, but they are not God. They cannot satisfy you like God can. No one or no thing is to block or stand in the way of your worship to God. Let God be your fortress. Let God be your Strength in every area of your life.
Surrender to God and let Him be your Strength within the walls of your marriage, in your business, in your ministry and in your family. Let God reign in every area of your life. Let His Word serve as your strong foundation in every life choice. He is your Strength and your guide. Choose not to serve any other idol. Shallom

Not Alone. Isaiah 41:10

Though I may never see your face or have the honor of knowing your name, I know we are not that different and in the course of life we will face many of the same challenges. God’s Word promises us that any problem we will face is not uniquely ours. We are not alone in our trials or victories.

But Satan, the enemy of our souls, loves to isolate and accuse each of us as though we were. He whispers lies, “You are the only one who struggles with this. No one else is as bad as you!”

I know you’ve heard some form of this because I, too, have heard this lie. God does not play favorites when it comes to His promises and to His Word. He receives everyone who comes before Him with a humble and obedient heart.

This is not true for the arrogant and self-righteous who imagine they have it all figured out. He hears us best when we come spent and tired of trying to do it on our own. God lifts the weary and broken and invites them to come to Him without finding fault.

There are far too many precious men and women who feel alone and isolated. It is time we realized that just as we are united in our struggles, we can be united in our strength. Perhaps you have felt isolated and accused. These are lies. You are not alone. Your Lord is your redeemer rather than your accuser.

This is one of the many reasons why community is so important. When we connect with other people who have already gone through the struggle that we are presently in, we are encouraged to step out in faith and dare to believe that just as God was faithful to them, He will be faithful to us.

Allow me to assure you: God is not angry with you. He is not your accuser. He is more than willing to help. You are not alone.

Father, I praise You that I am not alone or accused by You. Thank You for welcoming me into Your healing presence. As I am healed, I will share my journey so that others will be encouraged as well. AMEN

I boldly declare I am strong, because I am not alone. My Lord is my redeemer, not my accuser. Shallom.
