Public Service of the Year Award 2026 was awarded to General Secretary of Hounslow Jamia Masjid, Shafiq Rehman this past week at the Pakistan Achievement Awards International Event.

Mr Rehman has a well-deserved reputation for promoting integrity, strategic visions and principled service.

Mr. Rehman serves as the General Secretary of Hounslow Jamia Masjid, one of the largest and most respected mosques in West London, where he provides strategic leadership, oversees governance and administration and actively promotes community engagement, education and interfaith harmony. In recognition of his statesmanship and international standing, he also serves as an Adviser to the President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, providing strategic guidance on governance, international engagement anddiaspora relations.

The competition was judged by Ustadh Yasir Kiani and saw performances in different languages and styles, a testament to the parents who supported their child (ren) in preparing for this day with confidence and support. We pray Allah continues to allow our children to praise Allah and His Messenger ﷺ

A wonderful audience of brothers and sisters received spiritual gems, heard Qasaid and spent quality time in the Remembrance of Allah.
