Text: Proverbs 24:3-4; Note: The text reveals three pillars in establishing a sustainable diversification in business ventures which are: 1)Wisdom 2)Understanding 3)Knowledge. The Essen of this will affect the durability of the financial structure. Many times we build but not with wisdom, not being informed on self-strength, no insight in the season and the resource available. Diversification is not about doing many things but rather doing things in order.
Understanding establishes what wisdom started. Many businesses have failed due to lack of understanding of the market. Knowledge is the skills required to produce results. This can gained through learning, training, mentoring and knowledge that will produce results. As a business owner you must be careful not to make hasty decisions. Decisions must be evaluated, measure cost and profit with cost benefit.
According to Proverbs 21:5, being diligent can lead plenty and Hastings can lead to poverty. Avoid rush-rush diversification. Haste lead to waste of money, time and focus. In building diversification there is a model:
1)Experimental model - test and learn, start small and build on it.(Zechariah 4:10) don’t scale on what you have not tested. Start small track your result improve on what works and stop what fails.
2)Business model-understand the model, have multiple channel of supply. Access the global market through social platforms forms, entry and penetrating prices. The price adjustment can be apply in value based prices to create market awareness and build up your brand.
3)Geographical model- The market place in 21st century is across the globe and you can trade from anywhere in the world and you can enabled your market awareness via online.

Tool 1: Risk Map (Simple)
Risk Analysis of ideas - rate each idea 1–5:
1 – Most acceptable
5 – No Go area
Risk Map
• Money risk: How much cash can I lose?
• Time risk: How much time will it take weekly?
• Skill risk: How unfamiliar is it?
• Market risk: Is demand proven?
• Legal/compliance risk: any rules/licensing?
Interpretation
• Total score ≤ 10 = safe to test now
• 11–17 = test carefully
• 18–25 = don’t start now; redesign the idea
Tool 2: Income Stream Scorecard
List all your stream ideas – property, business, investment – S/T, M/T or L/T
Score each stream idea 1–5:
• Profit potential
• Speed to first income
• Repeatability (can customers buy again?)
• Scalability
• Fit with my strengths
• Low stress / manageable
• Capital required (reverse score: lower is better)
Then pick Top 2 ideas.
Tool 3: Start-Small Ladder (Stepwise Growth)
Teach them the ladder like this:
1. Skills/Service (no capital)
2. Reselling (small capital)
3. Simple production (mid capital)
4. Systems & team (scale)
5. Assets (property, investments, business acquisition)
Key principle: Don’t jump to Step 5 when Step 2 is not stable.
Group Exercise
Write two ideas that you are considering.
Then:
1. Apply Risk Map to both ideas.
2. Apply Scorecard to both ideas.
3. Choose one idea to test this week using a 7-day experiment plan:
o What am I selling?
o Who is buying?
o Where will I sell?
o How much will I spend?
o What result will count as success?
