Three Rs.

For you to win, be relentless, resilient and resist all that Satan throws at you to dislodge you from what’s yours in Christ Jesus.

‘Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Whom resist stedfast in the faith.’ - 1 Peter 5:8-9.

Did you know, you and I are not the first ones to face trials, Jesus Christ faced challenges too?

‘Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and faint in your minds.’ - Hebrews 12:3.

See, Satan has no power over a child of God (1 John 4:4), all Satan has is the ability to persist in his attacks on a person.

Remember Jesus praying and fasting in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), the devil didn’t didn’t give up on Jesus easily.

For everyday victory, be disciplined in being relentless, resilient and in resisting all of Satan’s arrows of discouragement.

Broken but beautiful.

All that the people saw was a broken and beyond redemption vessel called Rahab the pr******te (Joshua 2:1).

However, when God looked at Rahab He didn’t see a harlot, He saw a beautiful vessel fit for God’s use.

So beautiful was she in God’s eyes that God made sure she be in Jesus Christ’s genealogy.

‘Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse,
and Jesse the father of King David.’ - Matthew 1:5-6.

How far has life situations (mistakes, wrong decisions and choices) made you into a broken and shattered vessel?

Choose not to listen to what the crowd or social media is saying concerning you, instead get your identity from what God says.

‘The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.’ - Lamentation 3:22-23.

In spite of how low you have fallen or messed up, God hasn’t ruled you out yet, He sees the beautiful you.

Broken but beautiful.

Though in bo***ge (Daniel 1:1-2) because of their rebellion to God, God still thought highly of Israel.

‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.’ - Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬.

Have wrong choices and decisions cost you dearly, have they cost you your marriage, business, health, career etc?

‘But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’ - Romans 5:8.

As was for Israel in bo***ge because of their wrongs, God still places value on you, He still loves you.

‘And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.’ - Luke 15:20.

Though your life be a mess (broken pieces of that once precious vessel), God still calls you beautiful.

He sees past the broken pieces, God sees the beautiful you.

Dad isn’t dead.

Without doubt, to lose parents is one of the worst things to happen to anyone, especially when you are still young.

Guess what, there is a parent who is ever with you and won’t die.

‘I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.’ - John 14:18.

In whatever situation or challenge you find yourself in, remind yourself my Dad is alive and is here with me to help me:

‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble’ (Psalm 46:1).

When surrounded by problems way bigger than you, tell yourself:

‘Do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God Himself will fight for you’ (Deuteronomy 3:22).

No matter the challenge, embolden yourself by this facts:

Your Dad is more than capable (Jeremiah 32:27).

Your Dad is rich (Haggai 2:8).

Your Dad never sleep (Psalm 121:4).

Your Dad never loses (Isaiah 46:9).

Your Dad never lies to you (Numbers 23:19).

Enforce the plan.

Don’t accept it just because it’s prevalent among many (even Christians), check the scriptures to see if it’s supposed to be so.

‘The Bereans were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the scriptures daily, whether these things were so.’ - Acts 17:11.

See, you are God’s project and you were built after the life of God’s son Jesus Christ.

‘For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.’ - Ephesians 2:10.

God didn’t build you anyhow or without a proper plan, He thoughtfully crafted your whole life.

‘You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:13-16‬.

Satan’s plan for you cannot override God’s plan for you, enforce God’s plan using the word of God.

Enforce the plan.

Did you know, no notable edifice is built without a plan and a planning permission from the relevant authorities?

As you may also know, you are a building built specifically for and by God Himself.

‘Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?’ - 1 Corinthians 3:16.

Now, seeing no building is built without a plan, don’t you think the one who built you had a specific plan before building you?

‘For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ - Jeremiah 29:11.

Your builder (God) had and has no other plan but to prosper you and have you have a life filled with good only.

‘I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.’ John 10:10.

Now that you know the plan (mind) of your builder, don’t accept anything which doesn’t measure up to your builder’s plan.

Do not forfeit.

Did you know, to forget God’s word, His attributes and His promises to you is to forfeit your victory?

‘Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass, that you have forgotten the LORD your Maker, that you fear continually all day long because of the fury of the oppressor? - Isaiah 51:12-13.

See, unlike king Saul and his army who were forgetful when Goliath confronted them, David walked in constant consciousness of his God’s word and promises.

‘When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!’ - Deuteronomy 20:1.

When challenges come, don’t forfeit your victory by forgetting that: ‘nothing is too difficult for the Lord’ (Genesis 18:14).

Fear is faith.

Faith as described in the bible is belief and unrivalled conviction that something is real exists even when you can’t see it.

‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’ - Hebrews 11:1.

Now, when one feels in their body a negative symptom and begins to be afraid, they are thus afraid because they believe without doubt the reality of those symptoms.

In other words, they have faith in the negative symptoms they are experiencing in their body.

‘While He was still speaking, messengers from the house of Jairus arrived and said, “Your daughter is dead; why bother the Teacher anymore?” But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”’ - Mark 5:35-36.

Seeing then that faith isn’t only when one believes in that which is positive, we conclude then that fear in the negative symptoms or the doctor’s diagnosis is faith too.

Fear is faith in what you are afraid of.

Don’t delay, speak!

You must differentiate yourself from the crowd, David did!

When king Saul, David’s brothers and all the experienced soldiers spoke about the conquests of Goliath, David chose to speak of his God.

‘Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.’ - 1 Samuel 17:36.

Remember the bible says: ‘faith comes by hearing’ (Romans 10:17) and as such, what you speak you hear and this will either build or destroy your faith.

God never said that problem or giant is nonexistent, God says don’t speak of that problem, speak of Me because I am bigger than the biggest problem.

‘I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?’ - Jeremiah 32:27.

Saul and his armies spoke of Goliath and less of (if not none of) the God who opened the Red Sea.

Differentiate yourself, don’t talk about the mountain before you, speak to it to move over in Jesus’ name.

Don’t delay, speak!

In every challenge you face, there are two options: talk of the challenge or talk to the challenge.

Talking to and talking about the problem are two different things which bring different results.

When you talk about the challenge you magnify it and make too big to solve.

Talking to the problem means taking authority over that problem and forcing it to conform to your desires.

‘Then He said to me, “prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!”’ - Ezekiel 37:4-5.

No matter how big the giant (challenge), don’t talk about it, talk to it in your authority in Christ Jesus.

‘And these signs shall follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons.’ - Mark 16:17.

Practice talking more of God’s ability and none of Satan’s power.
