A fabulous Parish day out in Thaxted!

Thank you to for having us! The day consisted of a visit to several places of interest including a gallery, and ended with evensong in the Parish Church & a meal.

Join us on Saturday 13 June 11-3 for our Village Fete at St Mary’s! There will be a licensed bar, BBQ, activities for children and much more!

PLUS see the fly past over St Mary’s on its way to Buckingham Palace! The planes are expected to fly over Wanstead around 1pm!

A reminder that tomorrow is a joint service at St Mary’s and Wanstead Park. Breakfast will be served in the churchyard from 10am and we will be walking to the park shortly before 11am.

In aid of Christian Aid!

Please remember there is no nursery church or service at Christ Church tomorrow!!

Parish Breakfast followed by service in Wanstead Park

Sunday 31 May from 10am

We invite everyone in the parish to join us for a fantastic breakfast including home-cooked bacon, eggs and sausages, fruit, coffee and tea - all served in the church yard at St Mary’s - with donations to Christian Aid.

At 10.45am, we will leave St Mary’s and make our way down to Wanstead Park for a service of prayer, suitable for all ages - finishing up conveniently close to the ice cream kiosk🍦

Please note there will be no Nursery Church, Junior Church or 9.30 Eucharist on 31 May!

There will be a said Communion service at 11am at St Mary’s for those who wish to join for breakfast but who cannot manage the walk.

Rune Medieval closed the festival yesterday with a medieval bang! 💥 Thank you so much for coming along to this performance, and supporting the whole weekend!

Huge congratulations and thank you to for his participation in the St Mary’s Music Festival this weekend!

Lewis performed pieces by Schubert, Chopin, Sibelius & Grieg. He even took the time to stay behind and chat to the audience afterwards 😊

There’s still more going on at St Mary’s today for the final day of the music festival! Join us at 5.00pm for “Saints and Miracles”. Tickets are £15 (£10 concessions) and can be purchased on the door!

Day 1 of the St Mary’s Music festival was a great success! Thanks to everyone who came down and supported 🥰

For the last performance of this year’s festival, Rune will explore the lives of 4 saints through the medium of medieval music. This event is not to be missed!

St Mary’s Spring Music Festival 🎶

Not long to go now until our 4th annual music festival! This bank holiday weekend (23-25 May) we have a great line up of performances for you to come and enjoy!

Highlights include a gig by local Wansteadian Joe Walters and a fantastic performance of medieval music by “Rune Medieval”

Whether you enjoy listening to a recital, singing along to opera, or enjoying a laid back gig on the steps of St Mary’s, there’s an event for you!
