To do this, I want to walk us through the big pieces of the End Times that are resented in scripture and talk about the different interpretations about them.

Let’s start with the rapture. Who can tell me what the rapture is? The rapture is the time where everyone who has a relationship with Christ will be brought up into the sky to be with Jesus.

• Matthew 24:40-41 “Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left.”

• 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.”

• Revelation 3:10 “Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.”

There are a few different opinions about this. There are some people who believe that the rapture will happen at the begging of the seven year period known as Tribulation, which we’ll talk about in a minute. There are some who believe it will happen after half of the Tribulation, 3 ½ years, and then there are some who think it will happen at the end of the Tribulation. The passage from Revelation seems to support the rapture being at the beginning of the seven years and the passage from Thessalonians tends to support the rapture being at the end. Bottom line: no one really knows for sure.

The next big thing that you may hear about is Tribulation, as we just mentioned. The Tribulation is a seven year period that marks the final years of the world as we know it that was predicted as early as Daniel 9:27 “The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven (years), but after half this time (3 ½ years), he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.” Some people believe that this is an exact seven years that will happen and other believe that the End Times are already going on and that the seven was simply to denote the Tribulation has a set beginning and end. Either way, there are a number of things that will happen during this period.

1. The anti-Christ will come to power - This will be a person who is a great leader, who lots of people respect and admire, and who will bring a temporary peace to the world (key word: temporary). Often times, the anti-Christ gets personified in people like Adolf Hi**er or Osama Bin Laden but in reality, the anti-Christ will at first be someone like Gandhi or Mother Teresa. They will do amazing things. After 3 ½ years of this though, that person will go back on everything they said, desecrate (or vandalize) the temple and declare persecution on all who refused to worship – mainly those with a relationship with Jesus.

2. The Seals, Trumpets and Bowls – These are a number of things that Gods set in motion for the specific purpose of trying to get people’s attention and prove to them that He is God. They are similar to the plagues in Egypt as God tried to get Pharaoh’s attention. These things are not about God’s judgment and Him punishing people, it is about his love and wanting people to turn to him. Here is a brief list of what will happen from Revelation 6, 8-9, 11:15-19, 16

• Seal #1 – Rev. 6:2 The best interpretation for this is false prophets, in other words, people who would go out and teach lies about Jesus.

Evangelicals are Disappointed in the Rapture

Nashville, TN—Evangelicals are up in arms. The Rapture is here, the four horsemen rain through the sky, and yet, many Evangelicals are not happy with how the boss is currently running the Rapture.

“He’s hurting the wrong people!” stated Jill Trailer. “I mean, I prayed most of my life and loved me some Jesus! And I’m still stuck here. I don’t know what I’m going to do if I’m not raptured soon. This is no way to treat a white American.”

It is true that the end times have been confusing for many.

Forest fires in Australia, a church burning down, murder hornets on their way. Although the plagues and pestilence are to be expected, what wasn’t expected was that they would affect everyone, including those that won’t ever shut up about the Rapture.

Evangelical’s plan moving forward

As of this printing, Evangelicals have come up with a new plan. Prior, they screamed about the rapture which took time away from not helping the world in literally any other way.

That strategy does not seem to have paid off. The world is still a sh-thole, but it’s worse because the Evangelicals are still here.

Starting today, Evangelicals plan a mass protest to get the Lord’s attention. They will gather in large spaces without masks and cough in each other’s faces. Then they will go to grocery stores, concerts, and restaurants to bring the word and disease to many nonbelievers.

They will ramp up their missionary work as well by knocking on your door to hand-deliver the pestilence directly to your home. Think of it as Uber Eats but with more death.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
– John 15:13

We often think of "laying down your life" for someone else in terms of dying. That's what Jesus did. He loved us so much He laid down His life by dying in our place so that we could live.

But now, He's asked us to lay down our lives in a different way. He's asked us to show our love, not by dying for others, but by living for them.

Exactly what does that mean?

Sometimes it means giving our lives by spending time in prayer for someone. Other times it means giving of ourselves with love and understanding. Many times it means laying down our own selfish desires in order to meet the needs of another.

Romans 15:1 puts it this way, "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves."

When you lay down your life, you live to please God instead of yourself. You let your life be guided by His love. If love leads you to the person next door, you follow. When love calls you to intercede for someone in need, you yield.

Commit yourself today to lay down your own life—and take up the love life. Say:

"Father, in Jesus' Name, I see from Your Word that You were willing to give of Yourself, in the person of Your Son, for all men. I understand that because Jesus is Lord of my life, I, too, am called to give myself to others. I choose to accept that calling today.

"I'll give of my time. I'll give of Your love in me. I'll be strong and lift up those who are weak. I'm willing to be available to be used of You so that those around me might experience the abundant life You have provided.

"You have loved me, Lord, with the greatest love there is. I count it a privilege now to share that love with others. I thank You for it in Jesus' Name. Amen."

COVID-19 and The Mark of the Beast
May 9, 2020 by Rev Evangelist Justin Davis The COVID-19 quarantine on full display. I’m growing weary of how certain biblical texts are attached to certain political movements and demonstrations—texts that are, quite frankly, misused and misunderstood. Sadly, Christianity ends up getting misrepresented in the process.
Let me offer a few thoughts that might be helpful to keep in mind when you see pictures like this float around the news and social media.

The Mark of the Beast
I know of no reputable biblical scholar or theologian who would endorse that the COVID-19 quarantine or a vaccine is related to the “mark of the beast”. For starters, in Revelation, the “mark of the beast” is by no means a medical procedure. Most likely, it is a physical or visible mark as well when you accept now you get a spiritual mark now that u have accepted the physical Mark of Beast REFID Micrchip . Contrary to some of the more fear-inducing theories that have in the past gained steam in some evangelical circles, the “mark” is not at all something that could be accidentally taken either. You would have to be forced or willingly accept or Believe in lies your federal government says They sway u in and say is the next best thing oh it’s a new fad trend. About the REFID Microchips and what your boss says if u don’t take the you lose your job don’t fall for it because it’s puts your external soul at risk of eternal damnation

Why? Because the mark of the beast (Rev. 13:16-18) is a mark that is closely tied to the worship of the beast (13:12, 15; cf. 19:20; 20:4). Thus, the mark of the beast is a mark of loyalty and devotion to the beast.
Moreover, when you compare those passages where the mark of the beast is discussed with passages like Rev. 7 and 14, it is plausible to think that the mark of the beast is most likely a sign that identifies you as something you already are—namely wicked and evil, a person of the dragon. I say this because when you read Rev. 7:1-8 and 14:1 (where the mark of the Lamb is discussed), you’ll notice it is a mark given to God’s people, God’s servants, in order to identify them as such and, of course, to protect them. They get the mark of the Lamb because they are already united with the Lamb.
It seems pretty evident that all of this is the case because these two marks—the mark of the beast and the mark of the Lamb—are meant to be seen as two polar realities, two opposite signs, marking out as it were two different types of people, namely, the wicked on the one hand and the righteous on the other.
What all this means is that the “mark of the beast” is most likely a spiritual, non-visible mark; it’s a mark of loyalty and worship and is not, therefore, something you could accidentally accept.
So you don’t need to fear getting the beast’s mark by taking a vaccine—unless, of course, you plan to treat the vaccine as a sort of symbolic expression or “unholy sacrament” (sorry for the oxymoron!) of your wilful and public rejection of the Christian faith that you despise. If that’s you and if that’s your plan, then it’s not the vaccine that’s the problem.
About that Beast….
Any interpretation of Revelation that results in “the beast” becoming the central focus (and dreaded fear) of your eschatology most definitely suggests that you’ve completely misunderstood the book entirely. The Neronic phantom would love the attention you’re giving him, but quite frankly, he doesn’t deserve it.
Proof that we give too much attention to him is perhaps clear when we make the following observation: most Christians are only familiar with those texts that talk about the “mark of the beast” (e.g., Rev 13:16-18) and not about those texts that talk about the “mark of the Lamb” (e.g., Rev. 14:1).
That’s interesting to me. I mean, it’s all understandable, I suppose. In popular culture, after all, the “mark of the beast” has received way more attention, becoming quite the obsession for many. (Beasts are loud and attention-grabbing; lambs could go more unnoticed and ignored.) I think, though, that it might be better to get one’s theology from places other than pop culture’s sensationalized films and best-selling fictional books. A mere suggestion.
Speaking of sensationalism, it is interesting how things cycle in and out the way they do. Even in our own lifetimes, for example, the “mark” was first attached to social security numbers, then to credit cards. Now, apparently, certain interpretations of the COVID-19 quarantine are making their own contributions to evangelical lore.
Much of this sensationalism not only reveals ignorance about the biblical text, not least with respect to its historical context, but as a pastor I should also add that what particularly angers me is how such ignorance serves to spread needless fear among God’s people—a good reminder that theology has consequences.
Whose Revelation Is It?
Popular interpretations of “Revelation” are often forgetful (negligent?) of the fact that this book is “The revelation of Jesus Christ” (Rev. 1:1). Many people (not least on social media) treat it as if it were the revelation of the dragon and his wrath. The sillier teachers of eschatology focus so much of their attention on endless speculations concerning the Antichrist, the “mark of the beast,” etc., that I truly wonder if they think Revelation is primarily about revealing the satanic.
Two things to say about this: (1) Such assumptions about Revelation treat Satan as the star of end-times speculations, breeding, once again, unnecessary fear in good folks. And (2), such views are simply wrong: Neither the dragon nor the beast are the stars of the show; thus, they shouldn’t be the focus of our obsessions.
To the contrary, the point of Revelation is to reveal and uncover the victory of the Lamb and the victory the Lamb shares with his people. Jesus is the focus. This, quite frankly, is rather old news. In fact, it’s 2,000-year-old news. It’s basic theology. And yet, it’s ignored.
I suspect, though, that much of the misguided eschatological hype has very little to do with theology per se and much more to do with certain political ambitions that could be obtained by weaponizing key biblical texts (e.g., Rev 13) for their own ends—a sort of neronic/beastly thing to do, really. Such is the politics of our time, though.

Let’s say that the beast and his mark were, in fact, associated with the COVID-19 is not From the Bottomless or did God pour out vinyl for his wrath this was done biologically in a lab by human beings as chemical warfare and also spiritual thing people think that God‘s wrath is upon us during this quarantine or with some related vaccine, as this sign insinuates.Even so, it is case, it makes very you have to fight spiritually as well as physically war with the Devil when those of who get left behind to the devil Nd his army it’s makes perfect biblical sense to fight against the beast with things like the holy water and American flag with a Christian cross and Scripture.

At any rate, protesting “the beast” and his “mark” with threats of this world’s weapons is to fight the enemy with ways of the enemy. But you can’t advance God’s agenda with violence or with threats of violence. If you live by the sword, well, you know…
In many ways, then, when a person tries to advance the Kingdom of God by means of violence, ironically, they show themselves to have more in common with the beast and the dragon than with the Lamb. We are taught that, to the contrary, as Christians we overcome the enemy “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of [our] testimony” (Rev. 12:11).
In other words, we overcome by the ways of Christ, not by the ways of Caesar. So, if and/or when you see silly signs like these, don’t let them induce fear or panic in your heart or mind. I’d honestly not give them any more credence than a quick roll of the eye.
The Theologian’s Burden
If you are a Christian biblical scholar or theologian, now is the time to help others navigate the slew of information out there. Perhaps you could seek ways to provide biblically-based guidance and theologically-coherent direction to those who are either uninformed or misinformed when it comes to eschatology—not least as it is being understood in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you are a pastor or local church leader, I encourage you to take advantage of reputable resources on eschatology to pass onto your congregation. There are highly-respectable scholars writing on the subject—scholars who are committed to careful research, meticulous reflection, and timely application. Digging into these resources will be time well-spent.
Dr. Halsted has published a follow-up article, The Covid Vaccine has 666 Written All Over It…and Why that Doesn’t Matter According to Revelation.

Look for resources to help interpret the book of Revelation?

There is a term in running that says" it's a marathon, not a sprint". The same can be said about the life of a Christian. Many people do not prepare themselves for the long haul but are quick to jump off the starting line without a goal or purpose and quickly burn out and quit the race. The Bible makes many comparisons between running and living for God. It requires dedication, commitment, and consistent training to reach the finish line. When we lose the conviction that we are in a great race and that the finish line is approaching, we are close to the place where we lose the motivation which keeps us going. The Apostle Paul had no such problem. He said, “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:13-14).

Paul then called for every mature believer to be of the same frame of mind, motivated by the same enthusiasm. The invitation to live on earth for heaven’s purposes is really the call to think and act like a true Christian. Pressing “toward the mark” (Phil. 3:14, KJV) must, therefore, be more than a slogan, it must be the burning purpose of us all. The mark, of course, was and is the finish line, the end of the race, the achievement, the realization of the goal for which today’s sacrifices are being made. We do well, therefore, to place before ourselves a few marks—some perceivable and imperative goals which will then be more precisely the object of our striving in this world. Paul's credentials, according to Jewish tradition, were impeccable. And yet, for him, none of those accomplishments are worth anything next to fellowship with Christ. Paul speaks of pressing on or straining toward Christ-like living; He begins by stating that he is not yet perfect, but is working toward living more like Christ, He does not focus on the past, but on the future; He is committed to the goal of the calling of Christ Jesus.

All mature believers are to live this way, holding on to the progress they have already attained. By using the word “press,” the Apostle Paul is certainly telling us that life should be lived with intensity. He does not say that he meanders toward the mark, he presses. Daily, hourly, we too ought to think of ourselves as being involved in a great battle, a contest of vast importance and proportion. We are, therefore, not to preoccupy our minds with lesser things, but are to give heart and mind and soul and strength to serve the King of kings. There is a great prize awaiting all who serve Him well. It is called “the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:14). The Christian, therefore, who lives courageously in the contest for Christ can anticipate a marvelous moment of congratulations when he stands in the presence of the Great Commander.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (2 Cor. 5:10). Soon, the course of this life will move up into the glories of eternity. Then shall we understand! Then all explanations will be available. Then we will realize that the little sacrifice and suffering of this life was as nothing compared to the abundant entrance “ministered unto (us) into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 1:11, KJV). “The prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:14, KJV)—there is a goal worth laboring for. Anticipating that golden trophy in eternity should help us more powerfully to press the battle in these days of challenge and immense opportunity. We are living im the Last days Beloved
