Come and see me at church or message me if you'd like to help out in the parish or you'd like support getting a new initiative or event started. Everything that happens at OLA is parishioner led so if you want it let’s make it happen! We always need more readers, servers cleaners, greeters, singers, musicians and children's liturgy helpers so join in we'd love to get to know you!

We are pleased to announce that Our Lady of the Assumption Church has been selected to participate in the September Open House Festival organised by Open City, an architecture appreciation charity.
This is an opportunity for us to welcome the community into our Grade II listed Church to share our history as an Assumptionist Parish.

We will have a special gathering in honour of our Church patron, Our Lady of the Assumption. It will take place in the Courtyard.
Please feel free to bring food and drink to share.

If you haven’t tried bingo before, why not come along and give it a try. It won’t break the bank - £5 entry and £1 for a book of 5 tickets (we play 5 games) you can buy as many tickets as you like. Children are welcome , no entry charge for children although you’ll need to pay for their book of tickets. Every child wins a prize. No money prizes. Refreshments in the interval. All proceeds go to our new church roof fund.

It’s never too hot (or cold) for a quiz night! Why not come along to Our Lady of the Assumption church hall on Friday 3 July 7:30 for 8pm start.
£5 entry per person, £1 for a strip of 5 raffle tickets (you can buy as many as you like). Great raffle prizes but can always do with more, so if you can’t make the quiz, perhaps you’d consider donating a prize ? Just hand in to Fr Joe. We ask that you bring your own drink (alcohol or soft drinks), and nibbles and then during the interval you’ll be able to have a cuppa of your choice and biscuits (or cake) for a small donation. Hope to see you there. It’s a good laugh, hosted by Quiz Master Extraordinaire Ray Russo 😊

Our next family bingo in Our Lady of the Assumption Church Hall is on Saturday 6 June 1:45. £5 entry for adults, 20p for children. Bingo tickets are £1 for a book of 5 tickets. We play 1 line then a Full House with each ticket. Bring your own refreshments if you wish, but tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available in the interval. Please pass this info to friends. Children welcome, we have lots of prizes. Every child wins a prize in our bingo. Hope to see you there. Cathy & Ray
