My reading today 18th May 2026 from Ecclesiastes chapter 1 pointed out to me that human life, achievements, possessions, pride, grudges, and endless striving are all temporary. (Vanity of Vanities)

Of course, the preacher is not saying life has no value at all; rather, he is warning that life without God at the center becomes Vanity or Meaningless and fleeting.

What stood out to me today was this truth: “One generation passes away, and another generation comes.” I believe this verse should humble every human being. Whether famous, or ordinary, we will all eventually leave this earth.

And because of that, why carry hatred, jealousy, greed, and pride for things we cannot keep forever?

May I encourage us today to forgive one another and focus on the things that truly matter. As the Bible says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
