We had a lovely time on Saturday, with a steady stream of visitors keen to find out about the talented creatives in our community! Featuring up-and-coming young artists, alongside more established ones, everyone enjoyed meeting the talents behind the impressive displays.
We also had displays from two local authors, Andrew Cowley and Steve Tongue, and Zara Taylor, artist and ceramicist, whose photos we didn't manage to take (sorry), and an information stall run by the Friends of Maryon and Maryon Wilson Parks who have an exhibition at Charlton House celebrating the centenary of MW Park.
The Tuesday Group ran a vintage stall, and the church sold some toys and books.
Many people enjoyed Jim's delicious soup!
All in all, it was a wonderful community event. Thank you to everyone who helped organise it, especially Liz Buck, to the volunteers in the kitchen and on the stalls, everyone who contributed their creations and booked stalls, and everyone who visited.

Only a few days to go until our Art Celebration and Sale this Saturday from 11am - 2.30pm!

We are really excited to share with you some more information about the creatives who are participating. Some of their work will be available to purchase on the day.

Carmen Allison is a Charlton-based artist, originally from the USA; her beautiful illustrations can be seen on her website: https://www.carmenart.uk/

Zara Taylor is a local ceramicist and traditional Chinese brush painter. Her beautiful work is featured on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/zedceramics/

John Dawson's beautiful ceramics will also be on display: https://www.johndawsonporcelain.com/

We're also delighted to be showcasing young people just starting out on their artistic journey. One of those is Shane Brightman, an illustrator and mixed media artist. https://www.instagram.com/autunm_sage_designs

As well as the Art Exhibition and Sale, there will be some church-run stalls selling vintage items, books and toys. The Friends of Maryon and Maryon Wilson Parks will be running an information stall, and there will be refreshments on sale.

We would love your support at this new event, so please come along on Saturday from 11am-2.30pm, and tell your friends, family and neighbours!

A first for St Thomas…..but definitely not the last! A very tense drama involving sibling rivalry, affairs, poisoning, and a very convincing Italian accent! 😉
We were blow away by the interest in this event; thank you to all who came and took part. Everyone was really engaged, thinking of some brilliant questions to ask, determined to solve the crime!
Thanks also to New Eltham Community Productions for their excellent performance, and to the volunteers.
