In Church the word intergenerational is used lot. It is viewed as something Church should work towards.

This beautiful moment was spotted and snapped on Sunday. One of our more junior members and one of our more senior members bonding over lego & sweets.

We are incredibly blessed to have a lot of wonderful adults don't just take up space with our youngsters they take the time to build meaningful relationships with them.

We are putting the finishing touches to The Scavenger Hunt for Sunday, hope to see you all there.

After a morning thinking about the question

Who are we?

We reminded ourselves that the answer is that our identity is found in Christ and Christ Alone.

We celebrated this by welcoming a new Adherent to the Church. They thanked everyone for making them feel like they belong.

Yesterday's Play & Pray afternoon was a HUGE success.

We tried new games, played old favourites and we laughed a lot. Thankyou to The Village Charity Shop & Café - Nunhead, Salvation Army for providing the amazing food for us.

I think we will be organising another games afternoon or evening soon.

How do you explain Pentecost to young children?

That was our challenge yesterday.

We coloured pictures.
We sang Happy Birthday to The Church

but we weren't sure that was enough, we wanted everyone however big or small to leave understanding Pentecost on some level.

In Sunday School we came up with idea that The Holy Spirit is like a teddy bear, a gift given by someone who loves us (and who we love) to give us comfort and courage. We then though about solar lights powered by the sun and realised we are Jesus Lights powered in part by The Holy Spirit so that we can light up the world around us.

At Nunhead we are so very grateful to God that He trusts us with his precious young children and we don't take the responsibility for granted and we are always doing our best to give them a safe space whilst helping them to learn and grow.

Our YP team will be sitting down soon to plan the next block of Sunday Schools - pray for us.
