As the UK continues to experience exceptionally high temperatures, we kindly remind our community to take extra care during this period of extreme heat. Heatwaves can affect everyone, especially young children, the elderly, those with underlying health conditions, and those who spend long periods outdoors.
๐ง Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water regularly throughout the day, even if you do not feel thirsty.
โ๏ธ Avoid direct sunlight where possible, especially between 11am and 3pm.
๐ Keep your home cool by closing curtains or blinds during the day and improving ventilation when possible.
๐ Never leave children, vulnerable individuals, or pets in parked vehicles, even for a short time.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ Check on others, especially elderly neighbours, family members, and those living alone.
โ ๏ธ Heat exhaustion signs include dizziness, headaches, nausea, heavy sweating, cramps, tiredness, and rapid breathing. If someone becomes confused, unconscious, has a seizure, or does not improve after cooling measures, call 999 immediately.
Islam encourages us to care for our health and look after those around us. Helping and checking on vulnerable members of the community is an important part of our responsibility.
๐ Please take these warnings seriously, plan ahead where possible, and share this message with family and friends.
May Allah ๏ทป keep everyone safe, healthy, and protected during this heat. ุขู
