Masjid Tawhid

Masjid Tawhid Masjid Tawhid is based in Leyton on the High Road and is walking distance from Leyton Underground Sta The Masjid was completed in July 1997.

The history of the Masjid goes back over 35 years ago to 1984. A small building was purchased at 34 Francis Road, by the Grace of Allah, through a generous donation from the noble Shaykh Abdul-Aziz bin Baz (Head of Presidency of Islamic Research, Ifta, Dawah and Guidance, Saudi Arabia). In less than 10 years the congregation outgrew the building and the committee decided to look for another buildi

ng. The current building at 80 High Road Leyton was found and purchased in 1991. An independent Waqf (trust) was setup to supervise the purchase and renovation of the building. The foundation stone of the new masjid was laid by the esteemed Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdullah al Subayyil, President of Affairs of the Sacred Mosques of Makkah and Madinah. In June 2006 the Masjid purchased the land behind the current building. This has the potential of tripling the current floor space. Much work is still needed to realise the plans for the Masjid and Madrasah. We ask Allah to make this task easy. We want to move the Community forwards in a positive fashion. We ask Allaah and then the Community to assist us in fulfilling the purpose of the Trust.

Nikah Gate – Masjid Tawhid Initiative

Finding a spouse can be difficult for many families today. To help address this, Masjid Tawhid has launched Nikah Gate — a simple and private way for families to explore potential matches.

This is not a matchmaking service. The Masjid simply provides a structured platform where approved profiles can be viewed by families.

How it works:

1️⃣ Apply online
2️⃣ Pay a £10 annual application fee
3️⃣ Applications are reviewed
4️⃣ Approved profiles are added to a brothers/sisters spreadsheet
5️⃣ Families contact each other through a mahram or nominated contact

Profiles will be shared quarterly with approved applicants.

We are honoured to host Shaykh Uthman ibn Farooq (USA) this Sunday, 20th April for a powerful talk on:

“The Importance of Hadith & Refuting the Rejectors”

In a time where doubts are spreading and the Sunnah is under attack, this is a vital reminder for every Muslim — especially our youth — to stay firm upon the truth with knowledge and clarity.

Don’t miss this opportunity to benefit from a renowned da’ee and defender of authentic Islam.
