I Have Come to Call Sinners

Luke 5:31-32 Jesus answered them, “It is not healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.’’

Through this precious verse, we hope everyone meditates on the great grace and love of Jesus Christ. It gives us the great comfort and encouragement that Jesus didn’t come to this world to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. There are lots of moments where we feel insufficiencies and lacking parts in us. We know that our Great Commission is to build the kingdom of God, but compared to that great goal, we feel we are so weak and shabby. Do not be despaired. Jesus Christ called us from the beginning of the world. God has great plans for each one of us, and because he loved us and called us first, we can go forward to the Great Commission, the kingdom of God with grateful hearts.

Let us not despair or be arrogant but always be thankful and joyful in God. By the precious blood of Jesus Christ, now we can reconcile with God and dwell in the new world of joy and the light of the darkness.
