On Saturday 23rd November, we enjoyed the second of our special youth days this year with a special focus on Advent and the waiting in anticipation for the coming of Our Lord at Christmas.
The young people wrote special prayers of Hope and love, sang Advent songs and Made the Advent Wreath which is a centre piece of our waiting in the Church during this season.

There will be a quiz evening this coming Saturday 22nd October in the Church Hall on Stapleton Hall Road. It will be fun and all proceeds are going to a very good cause.

There will be an Autumn Fair at Holy Innocents on Saturday 18th September from 11am.

This is the 15th week in ordinary time of the Liturgical Year.
In our gospel this week we find that Jesus has called His 12 apostles together. He sends them out in pairs to preach the Good News of the Kingdom to the people and to cure the sick.

On the Sixth Sunday of Easter on our young peoples sheet, we hear from Jesus that if we are followers of Him, then we must love others as ourselves. The unloved, the ignored and the rejected.
