Finchley Progressive Synagogue We are a diverse, inclusive community welcoming religious/non religious, all ages & backgrounds.

Our members are a diverse group, with a huge range of professions and interests. Many live within a five mile radius of the synagogue, but we do have members from much further afield who could not imagine being a member anywhere else. Shabbat Services and times:
Friday Nights - 6:30pm
Saturday Morning - 11am

2nd Friday of the month - family service
3rd Friday of the month - Shabbat Resouled

bat Resouled – The Service: is a Musical Friday Night Service held at Finchley Progressive Synagogue. with a band of 15 musicians, including: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, keyboard, flute, clarinet, percussion and drums, mandolin, banjo, harmonica and the occasional trombone. Shabbat Resouled has already visited Zurich, Adelaide, Birmingham, Woodford Liberal Synagogue, Manchester Limmud and Limmud Winter Conference and the music is used in some communities in the USA.

Happy Shavuot! Our festival service this morning at 11.00 am will be joined by Southgate Progressive Synagogue and Sha'arei Tzedek Synagogue but if you really can't make it - follow us on the stream. Kabbalat Shabbat service tonight at 6.30 pm and Shabbat Morning tomorrow at 11.00 am. Good Yom Tov and, of course, Shabbat Shalom

Always so lovely to share the celebrations of our congregants and this weekend is no exception. Mandy Carr is celebrating a 'significant' and will light the candles for us to welcome Shabbat on Friday evening and then on Saturday morning, she will have the Aliyah l'Torah. Mazaltov Mandy!! Mazaltov to Lesley Urbach who has a birthday coming up so we've invited her to read the Haftarah on Saturday. Also on Saturday Jessica & David Edward will be bring Annie & Toby to be blessed with their Hebrew names. Mazaltov to the Edward family! Mmmm, I sense a couple of lovely kiddushim! Please come along to enjoy and kvell in everyone's happiness!
