THEME:✨FAITH CAN BE “SEEN”✨

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 22ND 2024

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PhD

There's something profound about faith that needs to be clearly understood. Faith can be “seen,” howbeit, not with the optical eyes; it’s seen in the spirit. The definition of faith as read in Hebrews 11:1 is an explanation as God, by the Spirit, presents it to man. In the spirit, it's not put in those words because faith is of the spirit and can be “seen” in the spirit.

Take for example in Mark chapter two when Jesus was in a house teaching and the Bible says the place became packed with people that there was no space left, not even near the door. Attempting to press through that crowd were four men, carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. But due to the large crowd, they couldn't get through the door to where Jesus was and so decided to go up to the roof, dug through it, and lowered the paralyzed man down on his mat, right in front of Jesus. The Bible says, "When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee" (Mark 2:5).
Jesus “saw” their faith; how? In their action! Paul had a similar experience in Lystra with a certain man who was crippled from birth and had never walked. The Bible says, “The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked” (Acts 14:9-10).

Notice the Word “perceiving”; it actually means “seeing”; Paul “saw” the man’s faith in the way he listened and received the Word. The Complete Jewish Bible actually says, Paul, “...looking at him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, “Stand up on your feet!” He jumped up and began to walk” (Acts 14:9-10 CJB).

Faith is seen in your words, actions, and even your disposition. Faith is not passive or docile; you prove your faith by your actions. That’s why the Bible says, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:17). Faith isn't a response of the brain or of the mind; it's the response of your spirit to God's Word. Hallelujah!

🔊 PRAYER

Dear Father, I anchor my faith firmly on your Word, regardless of the circumstances or reports around me. I see beyond the natural and perceive your will and purposes through the eyes of faith, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

📚 FURTHER STUDY:

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

James 2:17-18
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Hebrews 11:6
But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Acts 14:8-10 AMPC
8 Now at Lystra a man sat who was unable to use his feet, for he was crippled from birth and had never walked. 9 This man was listening to Paul as he spoke, and Paul looked intently at him and saw that he had faith to be healed, 10 and said with a loud voice, “Stand up on your feet.” And he jumped up and began to walk.

Are you a worshipping God right?

Can you see why dancing in the flesh does not glorify Him? Revelation is progressive. It doesn't matter if a person has been doing the wrong thing for 1000 years, does not make it right.

✨ BORN FOR THE GOOD LIFE ✨

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).

In John 10:10 AMPC, Jesus said, “…I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” You weren’t born to merely live but to live the good life which God prepared for you ahead of time an excellent life.

It’s the reason you should always be full of joy and strength, doing great things and blessing your world every day. He’s given you a great life; a life of purpose, power and abundance. It doesn’t matter the challenges you face; you’re victorious in Christ Jesus.

Jesus gave you a life that’s beyond this world, a life that’s superior to the decadence and corruption of this failing world; a life that’s divine. Glory to God! Maybe you’ve been living in fear because of some diagnosis from the doctors about your health; the life in you is superior to sickness.

The Bible says in Romans 8:10 ESV, _*“But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.”*_ You’ve arrived in the place where sickness and disease have lost their grip on you. Therefore, let go of the fears.

Greater is He that’s in you than any sickness that may attempt to fasten itself on you: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). You’ve overcome diabetes, heart trouble, chest pain, cancer, fibroid, or whatever health challenge it may be! Live and enjoy your life in sound health, prosperity, peace and joy unspeakable and full of glory. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m living the good life prearranged for me before the foundation of the world. I live in the victory, glory, dominion and righteousness of Christ every day. I’m a success; I live in health, because the life of God is in me; my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit! Blessed be God!
