We're sad to hear of the passing of the groundbreaking British artist David Hockney, at the age of 88.

Born in Bradford in 1937, Hockney was most famous for his association with the 1960s Pop art movement, but did you know that he also designed this striking window in Westminster Abbey? The Queen Elizabeth II window, commissioned to celebrate her reign and installed in 2018, features countryside flowers in Hockney's characteristic vivid colours. Hockney had never worked in stained glass before this commission, and he designed it on an tablet since, like stained-glass windows, a tablet is backlit.

On Saturday we welcomed Emma Ineson and the Diocese Of London to our church for the Kensington ordinations of priests. Among the 22nd newly ordained was our own Revd Jenny Davenport, and on Sunday evening she celebrated her first mass.
