Imagine walking 60km under the scorching Kenyan sun, searching for wild fruit to feed your starving grandchildren. This was Hellen's reality in Turkana, where 83% of the population lives in poverty due to relentless cycles of drought and flooding.
Through life-changing support from Tearfund’s church partner, she received three goats – a lifeline for her family. Today, she's part of a women's co-operative, weaving baskets and floor mats, which helped her to start turning her life around.
