On Monday, we marked Refugee Week with a wonderful Nigerian Cooking Class led by Charity, who taught us how to cook delicious dishes such as ‘Ewa Oloyin’ and ‘Jollof Rice’.

We are excited to now be collaborating with HIAS+JCORE for more events and programmes that will bring us together in supporting refugees and asylum seekers to find their feet in the U.K.

Watch this space 🙂

Thanks so much to Charity and to all our lovely participants for coming! The food was delicious and the community spirit was contagious ❤️

This past Shabbat, Debra celebrated her adult Bat Mitzvah with family, friends and community filling the sanctuary. Not only did she chant beautifully from the Torah, she also gave a great D’var Torah, when she reflected on the portion Korach, and how controversy isn’t always bad. We had a wonderful Shabbat this weekend, with Pride Shabbat on Friday, celebrating our LGBTQ+ members, with a beautiful service and dinner.

On Saturday we had our first B’nei Mitzvah of five in a row, Mazel Tov Sarah. In the sermon, Rabbi Kamila reflected on the portion , about kabbalah and on “flipping the script”.

We’re so excited to welcome Mosaic Voices next week for 'Songs from Jewish Memory'!

In these uncertain times, an evening of beautiful music feels more special than ever. From ancient melodies like Mi Sinai Nigunim to beloved favourites like Dona Dona and Avinu Malkeinu, this concert will be full of warmth, history, and joy. It will be a chance to pause, reflect, and be uplifted through music carried across generations. Whether you know these songs or are hearing them for the first time, there’ll be something to connect with.

Performed in Ladino, Yiddish, Hebrew, and English by the award-winning Mosaic Voices (whose latest album reached No. 5 in the UK Classical Charts), it promises to be a truly magical evening.

We’re also delighted to be hosting the Still Alive Drawing Project on the night — a welcoming, Limmud-supported group celebrating the diversity of Jewish life through drawing. You can join them from 6:30pm to sketch around the building or pick up a board at 7:20pm and draw during the concert. No experience needed, all materials provided, and open to everyone!

Come along and enjoy the music—and creativity—with us. We can’t wait to share it with you.
