We thank God for His guidance and for the people He sends as mentors to the Church.

Barry and Cheryl Wissler were with us recently - and it was a meaningful time. We are grateful for the word they shared, their hearts, and the way God uses such people to strengthen our faith and lead us forward.

One of the thoughts that stayed with us:
“Obstacles do not cancel God’s promises and callings.”

Ти можеш видалити інстаграм, ТТ, щоб перестати витрачати час на слідкування за іншими, але це не зупинить нас від того, що кожного дня ми за кимось чи чимось слідуємо.

Так, сьогодні ми чуємо багато наративів, що ти сам є капітаном свого життя, все буде так, як хочеш ти, ти обираєш свою долю, будь вірний собі. Але як сказала відома хр. письменниця і священник - «Жоден із нас не приходить до того, у що він вірує, сам по собі. У світі не існує незалежних мислителів.». Ключ до того, щоб люди йшли за тобою - переконати їх, що вони взагалі ні за ким не йдуть.
І це все нас формує, друзі.

«Ідіть за мною» - сказав Ісус своїм першим учням.
Ми часто говоримо про учнівство в нашій церкві, але питання не в тому, чи учень ти чи ні, а питання: учнем кого/ чого ти являєшся?

Тож, якщо ми свідомо не формуємось Ісусом Христом, тоді ми несвідомо формуємося кимось або чимось іншим. Якщо за кимось і слідувати, якщо в образ когось нам формуватися - то нехай це буде Ісус Христос.

Yes, these days we hear a lot of talk about how you are the captain of your own life, that everything will turn out the way you want it to, that you choose your own destiny, and that you should stay true to yourself. But as a well-known Christian writer and priest said, ‘None of us arrives at what we believe on our own. There are no independent thinkers in the world.’ The key to getting people to follow you is to convince them that they aren’t following anyone at all.
And all of this shapes us, friends.

‘Follow me,’ Jesus said to his first disciples.
We often talk about discipleship in our church, but the question is not whether you are a disciple or not, but rather: whose or what kind of disciple are you?

So, if we are not consciously being shaped by Jesus Christ, then we are unconsciously being shaped by someone or something else. If we are to follow anyone, if we are to be shaped in the image of anyone, let it be Jesus Christ.
